Overview
Useful tips for this mode, can apply also to other difficulties
General
– Use Y key to check your guns ammo from the side ; blue tips are dirty bullets, red is MGR ammo
– On this mode you will need to monitor your ammo status frequently by holding M, then right mouse button. Also to make sure you have the correct secondary weapon in hand.
– Stealth is a must vs humans, but many mutants levels can be stealthed in part at least with nosalises and watchmen ( throwing knives should be used on them when they are motionless ). Will save you ammo and medkits for emergencies.
– Mines and Incendiary Nades : Those are your best secondary weapons vs mutants and deal the most damage on anything in the game
– Shotguns : Best all around weapons vs normal mutants, Saiga is a favorite but Shambler is decent
Bosses and Librarians
Shrimp boss : Cannot be killed on first encounters, just run away. Once you meet him in front of the church, use all you mines and incendiaries on him, will die very fast, plus a few bullets if necessary.
Rhino boss : Again cannot be killed on first encounters. In the room with a few pillars he will run away once he crashes all columns . Best medication on his final fight will be mines and incendiaries
Bear boss : Shoot him in the back when watchmen attack him. You might have to shoot him in da face a few times to trigger those events. (not sure)
Librarians : Found on the DLC map Kshatriya (also on Tower which i didn’t play yet). You could simply sneak past them using the staring in the eyes trick, but it would ruin all the fun and prevent you from exploring the area at peace . Also they take litterally hundred of bullets and you will get one punch killed before they die.
Guess what ? : 2 mines will send them back to sleep forever or 1 mine plus incendiaries , possibly also a few bullets if the boat is still afloat.
