Sweezy Gunner for Beginners

Overview

This guide will show you just some of the basics of the game, Sweezy Gunner.

Introduction:

The goal of this guide is to give the new player to this game alittle bit of an easier time figuring it out. So what I’ll talk about now is how and what I understand Sweezy Gunner to be:

Sweezy Gunner is a cross between Zelda and Ikaruga. It essentially has the RPG aspects of the Zelda series but the gameplay and mechanics aspects of games like Ikaruga, Galaga and other top-down shooter games.

The basic principle of this game is to do the following in this order:
1. Shoot many things (like Blobs)
2. Get lotsa money (from the Blobs you killed)
3. Buy Upgrades (to make killing Blobs easier)
4. Collect Sweezy Coins and Monster Card (to unlock more upgrades so you can….ok. you get it)

This guide will keep spoilers to a minimum as well as provide the player with some idea of the later upgrades in the game.

Accessing the Main Menu and Warp Drive

You did read this right. This is literally a section on how to access the main menu. Go on try it, keep hitting the Esc key. Is it working for you? Watch this thar video as I go over some of the aspects of the main menu in depth. I also talk about how to warp within the world of Sweezy Gunner.

Essentially, you press the space bar to access the main menu.

The Main menu is important for a couple different reasons:
1. It shows how many sweezy coins you have
2. It shows you how many HP cores you need to increase your health
3. It shows you your in game stats.
4. Displays a job (if you have one)
5. It gives you an idea of how close you are to completing the game.
6. What’s six?
7. There’s also this giant map that let’s you know what each are is like
8. It also let’s you use Warp drive

So, the main menu is pretty important, all kidding aside.

The Purpose of Sweezy Coins and Monster Cards

These items allow you to by upgrades for your mini tank of sweeziness. Yes, sweeziness is now a new word.

Anyway, a specific amount of Sweezy coins is required to unlock specific upgrades that can be purchased within the game store. It’s in your best interest to collect as many of these coins as possible you you will be upgrading your tank as quickly as possible.

The video below goes over the various ways to get tank upgrades within the game:

Another way to get upgrades within the game is to collect Monster cards from enemies. Provided you collect enough for a specific monster, you can buy the upgrade from that monster. These can range from damage upgrades to fire rate to higher loot drops, etc.

Low on GP, Health and other Resources.

Within the first couple hours of playing this game, you’ll realize that gold doesn’t come extremely easily. The best way to deal with that is to focus on upgrading your turret’s magnet size, monster card drops, loot drops and other various areas.

Another thing that will help you are power ups.
Here is a video that’s essentially a basic overview of Power Ups within Sweezy Gunner.

Keep in mind as you get farther within the game, the loot drops become much much better and much more plentiful. The footage you saw is more towards end game than where you will be starting.
