Introduction
Tell Me Why is an emotional narrative adventure game including 30 Steam achievements.
Notes:
- Chapters are divided into replayable scenes.
- Missed achievements and collectibles can be cleaned up using isolated chapter replay.
Two achievements depend on the interactions between Alyson and Tyler (indicated as broken or repaired star symbols) and unlock after completing the final scene. Throughout the game you can either weaken or strenghten the twin’s bond. If you intend to obtain both achievements as fast as possible simply alternate between repairing and breaking decisions.
The game features two epilogues. To unlock both of them without having to replay several scenes, don’t tell Eddy the truth during the Paternity Test scene in chapter 3.

Try to open a locked door three times. The first locked door can be found at the barn:
Take time to talk things over with your twin.

Sit down on any bench and have a chat with your twin. The first bench can be found in the backyard of the Ronan house:
Solve the puzzle on Mary-Ann’s door

Make Tessa tell the twins everything she knows
Scene: Rashomon
You must find two pieces of evidence in Tessa’s office:
- Use Tessa’s computer and read the e-mail “Alliance for Traditional Families”.
- Open the locker and read all pages of the notebook labeled “2004”.
Correct answers during the confrontation:

The epilogue is based on two choices.
Alyson’s Epilogue – A New Chapter:
- Don’t tell Eddy the truth. [Scene: Paternity Test]
- Final choice: Stick to your memory. [Scene: Veni, Vidi, Vecchi]
Tyler’s Epilogue – Lock-Up and Go:
- Either tell Eddy the truth or keep it to yourself. [Scene: Paternity Test]
- Final choice: Believe Tom’s version. [Scene: Veni, Vidi, Vecchi]
You can use restart progress replay mode to reach both epilogues efficiently.
Complete the story with the twins strongly bound together
Complete the story with the twin’s bond weakened
These achievements depend on the interactions between Alyson and Tyler, and unlock after the epilogue. If you already completed the game once and don’t know how many positive/negative decisions you have made, use restart progress replay mode and replay the game from the scene “Compass and Northstar”. Restarting from this scene allows you to save time since it’s possible to nullify the impact of all previously made choices. Please, refer to this guide for more details:

Solve the first three puzzles in the attic and read the story found in the third secret compartment:
