Business Tour – Board Game with Online Multiplayer Guide

The absolute beginners guide! for Business Tour - Online Multiplayer Board Game

The absolute beginners guide!

Overview

This guide will give you a small idea about the game. Not much really, it’ll just help you get through your first few games.

How to join a lobby

Now to play the game you’ll need to join a lobby. How? Well to play online you click the ONLINE GAME button.

To play an offline match with AI, click the OFFLINE GAME button.

Once in matchmaking lobby You can join a lobby that is available (displayed brighter)

If no lobby suits you, you may create a new one by pressing this button.

How to pick a lobby

This is how an online lobby looks like. You are able to purchase add-ons on the section on the left.
This is how an offline lobby looks like. You can adjust the amount of bots & all.
If no lobby suits you, you may create your own lobby by pressing this button.

You can adjust the amount of chips that each player will bet once the match starts. The players in the top 2 of a match win chips and the 2 that are below lose the amount of chips they’ve bet.

Choosing a character

These are the 4 main characters. You may pick the one that suits you best since these have no impact on your gameplay.

In-game

Now that the game has started and you have selected your character, time to play!

Before anyone gets to roll the dices, a few cities get to have a festival! These festivals increase the rent players have to pay if they get on that city’s tile.

Now that the towns with destivals are determined, let’s start the match!
A randomly chosen player will get the first roll in my case it was the computer.

Afterwards the chosen player will make their move by rolling the dice. They’ll move the amount of tiles rolled or pay 3 golds to roll again.
You can roll by pressing the blatantly obvious roll button, or use one of the 3 payed power-ups.

Once you get to a city that you’d like to claim, then you can chose between 2 houses in your first tour. Which means to put a level 3 house you’ll need to circle the map once and land on the same tile. The money a tile costs is increased clockwise.
Also if you have a level 3 house somewhere and you land on that tile again you’re able to put a hotel there. Hotels are basically the ultimate building since they cannot be affected by the earthquake power-up and cannot be re-purchased by another player.

Special tiles!

The special tiles are as listed below:

*Resorts : Resorts are treated as normal tiles although they cannot be repurchased and having all 4 of them results in an instant win.
Chance : Chance gives you a random power-up. These can either be useful or harmful.
Lost Island An island where you’ll get stuck for 3 rounds if you stop on it. You can also get to here with a chance card. To get out you can wait 3 rounds, pay a $200,000 fee, or use the escape card which you can win from chances.
World Championship : If you get here you can choose a city to host the championships. This will increase the rent and each time it is cast the rent multiplier is increased.
World Tour : If you stop on this tile, the next time you get a turn you can go to any unclaimed land (excluding special tiles [you can still go to Resorts]) or any land that you own. You’ll pay a $50,000 fee to use it.
Tax Agency : When you stop on this tile, you’ll pay 10% of all your landscape’s worth.
Start Tile : Each time you step on this tile (you don’t have to stop on it) you’ll get a $300,000 pay-check.

Win conditions

There are many ways to win but here are the main ways:

Side Monopoly: You’ll get this win if you secure an entire side of the map with your buildings

Triple Monopoly: You’ll get this win if you secure 3 triplets. (tiles with the same pattern)

Resort Monopoly: You’ll get this win if you secure all resorts.

Bankruptcy: You’ll get this win if all your opponents fail to pay rent and go bankrupt.

Accept Winnings: Literally when everyone in the match leaves.
