The Basic Rules of TTT

Overview

A short guide for those who need a quick refresher in the rules of Trouble in Terrorist Town.

The Two Golden Rules of TTT

First Golden Rule of TTT: Do not RDM. RDM (Random Death Match) is the killing or injuring of another player without a valid reason. This includes but is not limited to assumptions based on a player’s body language and speech, and disobeying orders from anyone except the detective. If you suspect a player is a Traitor yet have no evidence to support it, if you kill them, regardless of their role, traitor or otherwise, it is RDM.

Second Golden Rule of TTT: Do not Ghost. Ghosting is the act of conveying information to surviving players while you are dead. If you’re on a call or DM with someone in the game with you and a Traitor kills you, do not reveal the identity of the one who killed you. Ghosting is cheating and ruins the fun for everyone else.

Traitorous Acts

Regardless of your role, if you commit a Traitorous Act, you can be considered a Traitor. Traitorous Acts include:
• Shooting around or towards other players unless in self-defense
• Throwing any frag or flashbang grenades around or towards players unless in self-defense. This does not include smoke grenades as they deal 0 damage
• Declaring someone a traitor when they are innocent
• Wielding traitor weapons (Knife, C4, Teleporter or any traitor exclusive firearms on a map)
• Approaching players with a frag or flash in hand
• Leaving bodies unidentified
• Damaging or killing a player unless in self-defense
• Being inside of traitor exclusive areas
• Disobeying the detective’s orders
• Claiming a room or area
• Claiming you are a Traitor

Rules by Role

Innocent –
• Do not RDM
• Do not Ghost
• Do not commit Traitorous Acts

Detective –
• Do not RDM
• Do not Ghost
• Assist your fellow Innocents and fulfill the role of detective
• Do not commit Traitorous Acts

Traitor –
• Work together with your fellow Traitors
• You must actively attempt to complete your objective
• Do not injure or kill other Traitors unless acting in self-defense
• Do not reveal your fellow Traitors
• Claiming you are a traitor without others’ prior knowledge is griefing
