Overview
Don’t Starve in style! This guide will help you cook lavish meals instead of having to feed on twigs and berries.
The Crock Pot
The Crock Pot is a useful structure that is used to turn 4 food items into an enchanced food item or a wet goop. The Crock Pot is made at the science machine with 6 charcoal, 6 sticks, and 3 cut stone. Personally, Multiple crock pots are helpful as you can cook multiple recipes at the same time. It is recommended to also have an Icebox to store the food in.
Note: Some recipes are exclusive to Warly (SW) and these recipes have been labeled as such.
Fillers
Most recipes call for less than four specfic ingredients but the Crock Pot recipes always require 4 ingredients In this case, the remaining slots can be filled with “filler” ingredients. Any ingredient can be used as a filler but some recipes prohibit what can be filler. An example is dragonpie. Dragonpie requires only 1 dragonfruit, meaning you need 3 filler, but cannot have any meat in it or it will not become a dragonpie. Too much monster food as an ingredient or filler will turn the recipe into Monster Lasagna unless twigs have been added or higher priority food is available.
Here is a list of All Monster Food:
- Monster Meat (Raw or Cooked)
- Monster Jerky
- Durian (Raw or Cooked)
- Dead Jellyfish (Raw or Cooked)
- Dried Jellyfish
Because of how fillers work, twigs are the most efficient filler.
Priorities
Priority, also known as importance, decides what recipe is chosen if a combination the player sets in matches multiple recipes. Luckily, this recipe will give you the EXACT recipe for foods so priority should not be a problem so if you get a different result, it’s mostly because your recipe matches multiple recipes so use a different ingredient. If a recipe is wrong, please post it in the comments and I will try to fix it.
Ingredients
The following items can be used in the Crock Pot:
- Meats (Raw or Cooked)
- Monster Foods (Raw or Cooked)
- Fishes
- Eggs (Raw or Cooked)
- Fruits (Raw or Cooked)
- Vegetables (Raw or Cooked)
- Dairy
- Sweeteners
- Twigs
- Mandrakes
- Butterfly Wings or Moon Moth Wings (Interchangeable)
- Roasted Birchnuts (RoG)
- Mole Worm (RoG)
- Wobsters (SW)
- Bugs (H)
Most recipes accept the cooked versions of foods except for:
- Turkey Dinner
- Mandrake Soup
- Melonsicle
- Guacamole
- Banana Pop
- Mussel Bouillabaise
- Sweet Potato Souffle
This basically means that cooked melon cannot be used for melonsicle or that cooked bananas cannot be used of the banana pop. This goes for everything on the list above.
Each ingredient has a food value. The food value translates what recipe you cook up. An example would be if a recipe needs 1 meat value you can use 1 cooked meat or 2 drumsticks. Each choice gives you 1 meat value.
