The title really speaks for itself.
Don’t Believe Me?
Try it for yourself. Pressing the roll button causes Geralt to stop his forward motion and begin a slow, agonizing roll that’s put in the game to help you avoid enemy attacks. I spent hours messing around with this mechanic, only to suddenly realize that using it CAUSES GERALT TO STOP HIS FORWARD MOTION AND BEGIN A SLOW, AGONIZING ROLL THAT’S MOST-LIKELY GOING TO LET THE ENEMY GET A HIT ON YOU.
I first realized this when fighting Letho on insane difficulty, and ever since I’ve been able to get through fights like a breeze. Literally the best way to avoid enemy attacks is to just run away from them. Seriously, just keep running, don’t mess around with the dodge, as running is fast enough that you’ll be well out of range of the enemy’s attack by the time they swing.
