Hi there, Are you sick of the Complicated Stuff and Cannibals? Well Today I will help you by Teaching you the Basics of The Forest

Where To Build

The Plane

Now it may sound Crazy,
But you can build on top of the plane,
makes you practically invincible from Mutants and other weird stuff.

Now its pretty easy getting started with it With building on the Plane Here are the steps to doing so:

Step 1: Make Simple Stairs on the Back wings.

Step 2: Test With Different Flooring And Platforms on top of the Plane.

Step 3: Make Walls and A Roof once a Floor or Platform is Made

Step 4: Make Bed So you can sleep for the night and Don’t have to Climb the Stairs every time

Step 5: Once you have established a Base on the Airplane Make weapons to Fend off the
Cannibals/Mutants Coming to investigate the Crash

Step 6: Now that you Have made a Base on top of The Plane you’re now invincible.

The Yacht

Your Tired of the same o’l routine of gathering resources and building a base which will eventually get Destroyed, So Why not go on a Tropical adventure (not really) on the Yacht

The Yacht is pretty easy to get to its swimming distance (watch out for the sharks)
And is a pretty safe place till the Cannibals start coming, Since the Yacht is near a patrol route
making it harder for gathering resources (this will only get harder once the mutants are here)

Now it is unofficial that you can build a Base on top of the Yacht directly but you can build to the side of the Yacht making you basically having free food

Positives:
Safe From Mutants/Cannibals
Good view of the area
Unlimited Food and Water (if you keep reloading)
Shelter from rain
Free Bed

Negatives:
Can’t Build on it directly
No source of heat (unless you make a platform which holds a fire)
Hard to transport resources (unless you have rafts)
Scary place to be when hearing the roars of the Mutants

Well Your Tired of the Cannibals Destroying your Base on Land

So why not go to an island?

How To Get to the island: Well First you need to setup a houseboat on either day 1-2 doing this task is easy due to there being 3 rope on the yacht and also luggage with cloth inside of them to make 4 rope and also there’s alot of sticks and resources to help you build the houseboat

I would recommend using Farket’s Design on the Houseboat Here is a link to it:

Positives:
Safe From Mutants/Cannibals
Good Fishing Area
Near the yacht making you able to farm items such as Snack Bars, Booze and Rope
Great View
Good Amount of Space

Negatives:
No resources on the island
Limited Space
Hard to transport resources fast (If solo)

Fertile Lands

Now The Fertile Lands is Great Due to the many resources laying around.
It also is very easy to get to its on the east of the island and its a connected with the river making travelling from the other side of the island really easy. Its also near the snowy area to get the Flare gun and Near the main cannibal village to get the Modern Axe, Dynamite, Modern Arrows, And Circuit Boards.

But Do Keep in Mind that the Area is Near Patrol Routes meaning Cannibals will show up More

High Cliffs That Serve as a Natural Wall

Possibly The Worst Weapon in The Game
Cause of Its Slow Attack Speed Its not Worth it To Use.

Slingshot – 1 Stick 1 Cloth 1 Duct Tape

An Amazing Tool For Hunting small Animals Like Rabbits, Lizards, Birds, Raccoons
It Will Take 2 Shots To Kill A Boar And Wont be much Effective Against Deer.

Crafted Bow – 1 Stick 1 Cloth 1 Rope

A Worth it Starter Weapon Good For Sniping Down Cannibals And Deer.

Crafted Club – 1 Stick 1 Skull

The Best Weapon to Craft in the First Days of your Survival Provides High Damage, And High Block Downside is A Slow Attack Speed.

Upgraded Stick – 1 Stick 1 Cloth

Good For Lighting in The Dark Provides the Same Block Amount As A Modern Axe.

Upgraded Rock – 1 Rock 1 Cloth

Provides Low Usage Lighting it will set yourself on fire and not good for defending against cannibals.

Weak Spear – 2 Sticks

Good Weapon For Hunting Deer And For Attacking Cannibals At Long Range
Will Be Difficult To Aim For Starters.

Upgraded Spear – 1 Weak Spear 2 Cloth 3 Bones

Has Slightly Longer Range than the Weak Spear
Fair Damage
Wouldn’t Recommend Throwing due to the Price of Crafting it.
