Overview

AKA wheres the Hotgate and how to spot the other Gates and what they spawn

Introduction

So some time ago i decided i wanted to know were one can see stuff like the Hotgate beforehand and got together with some friends…
Basically, we each solo’d one corner (except one, duh) and wrote down what spawned in our faces.
Then we merged all of that together in one neat table.

How to spot the Gates

Wave 1 = Only one wave will spawn heretics twice (on the second spawn) this will be the Hotgate (Hotgate)
The corner where only one heretic unit spawns is the Gate where no Superheavy Units whatsoever will spawn (so not the hotgate, banegate or landraidergate)

Wave 3 = There will be 2 Heavy Bolter Units. 1 in the Hotgate. The other marks the gate for The Unclean & Baneblade (BaneGate)

Wave 5 = If you didnt pick up where the one heretics unit spawned in wave 1, look out were the Truck spawns. It will neither be the Hotgate nor the BaneGate.

Now that we have 3 corners down, the last remaining one is the one the Landraider will spawn in wave 20.

What to watch out for

Now that we know how to spot them, we need to know what to watch out for:

Wave 4 = The 2 Lictors will spawn in the Truck- and Landraider-Corner (One corner spawns first, the other later)
(You technically can locate the 2 corners in that wave, but i find it easier to just look for that truck)
Wave 7 = If you are not Unshakeable, the TruckGate is the only one without warriors
Wave 8 = Truck/BaneGate will spawn Dreadnaughts first, all Plasma Marines spawn later
Wave 9 = Catachans will be at the Hot/TruckGate
Wave 10 = Hotgate only has ballaboyz (2 spawns)
Wave 11 = Seer Council will be in the TruckGate, and Fire Prisms from Truck/BaneGate respectively
Wave 12 = Hotgate has a Tank as last spawn, all others spawn Chaos Dreadnaughts
Wave 13 = Swarmlord in Hotgate, Zyanthropes in Bane/LandraiderGate
Wave 14 = Hotgate only has Scouts (2 Spawns), Tank in TruckGate, Dreadnaughts everywhere except Hotgate
Wave 15 = Sentinels will spawn in Hot/TruckGate, so will the Tanks (but much later)
Wave 16 = Battlewagon in Hotgate, 2 spawns of stormboyz everywhere except LandraiderGate (only a Killa Kanz there)
Wave 17 = Avatar in Hotgate, Fire Prisms in Bane/LandraiderGate
Wave 18 = Both Tanks spawn (with a pause in between) in the Hotgate, Unclean one in the BaneGate, Chaos Dreadnaughts in Bane/LandraiderGate
(SIDENOTE: I found it highly useful to finish off any bloodletter you can get asap as their damage-output is enormous in groups)
Wave 19 = Baneblade in BaneGate (DUH!), Hot/TruckGate has Tanks and Troopers, LandraiderGate spawns Ogryns 3 Times

I haven’t really gotten anything on wave 20, because once we got there it was always about winning and not looking out 😛
