This Guide Will Help YOU Survive The Genocide Route!
The Basics
On the Genocide Run, Your Goal Is To Kill Everyone And Everything In The Underground. Do NOT Leave The Ruins Until It Says “Determination” At The Save Points. After That, It’ll Say How Many You Have To Kill Before The Area Is Done At Each Save Point. You Can Alt + Tab To Walk On The Spot And Still Find The Monsters To Kill.
Papyrus
Papyrus Will Try To Befriend You, Just For You To Stab Him Right In The Back Like The Snake You Are. Just Make Sure Everyone In Snowdin Has Gone Before You Confront Him. After You Beat Him, Stack Up On Healing Items & Don’t Use Them Until Undyne. Don’t Forget To Grab The 3 Snow Pieces From The Snowman. You Get 3 Because You Are A Cold Hearted Savage And Take His Body Although I Recommend You Keep At Least 2 Of Those Pieces For The Real Challenge That Is Sans
Undyne The Undying
Undyne The Undying Is Significantly Harder Than Regular Undyne. She’ll Start With 3 Arrows From The Top Then Arrows From The Right, Left, Under & Above In That Order. Use Healing Items When Needed (30-36 HP Use A Bun). With The Small Box Spears Of 3, Stick To Crossing Between 2 Of Where The Spears Hit. The Circle Closing Spinning Spears Are The Hardest To Dodge (For Me Anyway), Follow The Movement Of The Spears And Cross Through A Hole When It Opens. The Faster Closing Spears That Shoot Back Out Are A Little Different, Circle Movements Are A Little Different, The Movements Needs To Be Slower At The Beginning Then Faster When They Speed Up. The First Few Attacks Are When You Need To Get The Damage In Before You Have To Heal. You Could Use The Torn Notebook & Clouded Glasses For The Extra INV Frames But I Managed To Get Through It With The Bandanna & Ballet Shoes.
After Undyne, Muffet & Mettaton Neo
After Undyne, You Follow The Path As Normal And Go Into Alphys’ Lab, You Will Be Greeted By Mettaton. Take Note That Monsters In Hotland & The Core Count As The Same Area So Take This To YOUR Advantage. You Won’t Be Able To Access Right Floor 2 Or Left Floor 2. Muffet Will Be Like She Normally Is UNLESS You Have Spider Cider From The Start Of The Game, Although It Won’t Make A Difference Because You’ll 1 Hit Her Anyway. Mettaton Neo Is Some What Like Papyrus But Mettaton Neo Is Aware Of The Fact You Have The Intent To Kill. Once Again, They Die In 1 Hit.
The House
After Mettaton Neo & You Go To The House, In One Of The Rooms Is 2 Boxes. 1 Contains The Real Knife & The Other Contains The Heart Locket. Neither Of Which Provide Any Bonuses Towards The Sans Fight. The 2 Keys Are In The Same Spot. Upon Looking In The Mirror, It’ll Say Something Along The Lines Of “It’s Me”, Indicating Chara Is In Control. Flowey Will Be Narrating Instead Of The Monsters. Because You Murdered Them All. In Cold Dust.
Sans
For Sans, I Recommend Using The Pan, As The Pan Gives Extra Health When Healing. To Start, Sans Will Slam You Into The Ground, Jump. Then Will Be A Series Of Bones That Go In A Curved Pattern. You’ll Be Greeted By Gaster Blasters After, Go Center, Up, Center, Up. Try Not To Get Hit As This Is The Time To Get Some Hits In To Progress The Fight. Sans Will Not Progress If You Heal. Sans Uses “Karmic Retribution” Or “KR” & The Notebook & Glasses Will Not Work. Undyne Is Nothing Compared To This Son Of A Gun. Show No Mercy, When He Tries To Mercy You, Don’t Fall For It. He Won’t Show Mercy & Neither Should You. Items You Should Be Using For Healing Are L Heroes (2) Snow Pieces (3) Pie (1) Steak (1) & Instant Noodles (1). Use In The Following Order: L Heroes, Steak, Snow Pieces, Pie, Noodles. When Using The Pie Or Noodles, Let The Purple Part Of The Bar Go COMPLETELY Down Before Healing. If You Can, Try To Heal ONLY At The Middle Break Part & When At Low HP. Ballet Shoes Are Also A Viable Option For Weapon, Same With The Tutu For The Armour, As Defense Has The Effect To His KR Damage. Think Of KR As A Type Of Poison.
The Aftermath
After Sans, Progress To Asgore. You Will Start The Fight Instead Of Him Starting It. He Will Try To Make Peace But Flowey Then Stabs Him In The Back As You Stabbed Papyrus In The Back. Flowey Will Then Say Something Along The Lines Of “It Was All Just A Trick To Kill Him. See? I Never Betrayed You! I Can Help. I Can… I Can… Please Don’t Kill Me!”. You Then Proceed To Savagely And Mercilessly Beat Him To A Pulp. Chara (Or Whatever You Named Yourself… Bacon) Will Then Appear. After Some Lines Of Dialogue You Are Given The Option To Wipe The World. If You Say Yes, Chara Will Crash The Game. If You Say No, Chara Will Say Something Along The Lines Of “Since When Were You The One In Charge? You Made Your Decision Long Ago!” And Then Proceed To Do Some Horror Game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ & Crash The Game Still. Upon Trying To Open The Game You Will Be Greeted By A Black Screen. After Several Minutes And Some Dialogue, You’ll Be Given The Option To Give Up Your Soul In Return For Playing The Game Again. Saying No Will Just Result In A Black Screen Forever. Saying Yes Will Take You Back To The Very Start Of The Game & It Literally Clears Your Save Game. Flowey Will Be Back & Everything Is Back To Normal. Although, Don’t Attempt A True Pacifist Run. Unless You’re Prepared For The Surprise Ending. Because You Gave Up Your Soul. That’s Right. The Game Gets Cleared But Your Soul Doesn’t Return. Toby, You Sly Fox. See What I Did There? No. Ok Then.
Conclusion
In My Opinion, The Genocide Run Wasn’t Worth The Time I Spent On It (Roughly About 4 And A Half Hours). You Get To See All Your Favourite Characters Be Murdered Right Before Your Eyes!
