Overview
This is the timeline for both Hotline 1 and Hotline 2: Wrong Number. This is also used to help create theories of the series convoluted story so that we may one day understand just what is actually going on. Help is needed in order to get the complete story so please post any facts or theories you might have in the comments below. Also any helpful screenshots or videos will be featured on this guide and will be properly credited. Since in order to get the full story of the Hotline series I need to get all of the hidden achievements. So anything in the underline points out to the EXTRA! EXTRA! Achievement. Anything that is blacked out (e.g. like this) leads to the hidden Bar achievement. There may be more achievements on the way so keep your eyes peeled.[EDIT] The timeline is finally complete! HOWEVER I have to beat hard mode so it’ll take awhile to finally complete that. If I have missed any easter eggs or secrets PLEASE let me know in the comments below. Also if I see any popular theories circulating I will add that into this guide (or I might end up making another guide altogether). My own theory will come up eventually but for now thank you Steam community for helping me (and pushing me) complete this guide. Please rate, favorite and theorize! Thanks again you guys!

Jacket meets Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus again. Richard asks Jacket four questions, “Do you like hurting other people?” “Who are leaving messages on your answering machine?” “Where are you right now?” “Why are we having this conversation?”
May 5th 1989 – Message alludes to a person that was supposed to take over a job, Jacket is assigned to finish it. Outside the Snack Shop, a couple of thugs beat up a person wearing the Wolf mask.
May 11th 1989 – Newspaper makes mention of ‘several’ masked men. Beard states he thinks its time to “close up shop”. At the end of this level, if you grab the crowbar and head into the sewer you will see a 50 Blessings member on the brink of death.
May 13th 1989 – You meet one of the Janitors who are behind 50 Blessings. You meet the other Janitor while shimmying to the next window. You kill 3 politicians who were with the Russo-American Coalition.
May 23rd 1989 – During this mission, Biker breaks into PhoneHom. Biker is killed by Jacket.
Beard makes reference to San Francisco. States that he feels something awful happened.
Again Jacket meets with Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus. Rasmus offers to leave and Don Juan is concerned for Jacket. Richard tells Jacket that he only has questions for a man like him. Richard declares that next time they meet will be the last. Richard predicts 3 things “Someone you know is not who you think he is” “Something will soon be taken from you” “On July the 21st you will wake up in a bigger house”.
May 27th 1989 – Jacket sees the dead Biker on the floor of the Snack Shop. 50 Blessings insignia on the top left corner of the bathroom. Beard mentions that nothing is really happening suddenly you see static and Beard greets you like normal.
May 31st 1989 – During the middle of the level, Police raid the flat. Outside the Pizza Parlor a dead man is stroking his dead dog. Richter makes an appearance. Next to him is Beard’s dead body.
June 3rd 1989 – Message alludes to another bail from an employee. Jacket is sent to clean up. Jacket can see Jake’s corpse on this level.
Again Richter makes an appearance. Beard’s body is laying next to him.
June 8th 1989 – A dead guy is seen next to the sink. The last part of the level, a car breaks into the lobby. Jacket effectively kills everyone. At the bar, Jacket starts to see the countless men that he has killed thus far.
Back at the apartment, Jacket finds Hooker lying on the floor dead.
On the couch a masked man, Richter, explains he got bored and killed Hooker. Richter then kills Jacket…. Jacket reawakens in his apartment. On the couch is Richard. Don Juan and Rasmus are not present. “What you do from here on, won’t serve any purpose.” States Richard. Leaving the apartment, Jacket’s clothes change into a hospital gown. Jacket’s head explodes after seeing his own body on a hospital bed.
July 21st 1989 – Jacket wakes up from his coma. His girlfriend (Hooker) is dead and Richter is in jail. After grabbing his gear, Jacket makes his way to the Police Station. At the Police Station, Jacket interrogates Richter and has a choice to kill him. After getting files from a nearby desk, Jacket leaves.
July 23rd 1989 – Files indicate that the messages were traced back to a Russian Underground network at a club. Jacket confronts a man who knows the location of the Russian Mob Boss. Jacket kills the man. At the Russian Mob HQ, Jacket kills off the Mob Boss’ girl. After Boss is wounded, he shoots himself denying any satisfaction to Jacket.
Picking up the phone, Jacket listens as an Old Man rants about the noise below. Jacket heads up to find the Old Mob Boss. Jacket proceeds to shoot the Old Mob Boss in the head. Jacket walks up to the balcony, throws his mask to the ground and throws away a photo from the top of the balcony……
May 13th 1989 – Biker violently shakes a guy wearing a Pig Mask. Biker explains that he’s bored and that he wants out of 50 Blessings. The Pig Mask directs you to a small restaurant. After killing the enemies, Biker interrogates a man connected to 50 Blessings. He tells Biker that 50 Blessings have been using PhoneHom as their base of operations but that Biker needs to hack into the servers to trace their exact location.
May 16th 1989 – Biker completes a mission set by 50 Blessings after skipping one before.
May 23rd 1989 – Biker breaks into PhoneHom. After killing the employees (you can skip them if you want in which case Jacket kills them anyways), Biker hacks into the servers finally tracing where the members of 50 Blessings were hiding. Jacket confronts Biker but unfortunately Biker kills Jacket.
May 24th 1989 – Biker heads to 50 Blessings Hideout. Biker corners the Janitors who were actually the members of 50 Blessings. After asking several questions you learn that the Janitors were the ones behind the messages. They didn’t have any agenda other than killing people and making money off of it. Like Biker, they were bored. Here you have a choice of killing them or leaving them alone.
SECRET ENDING – Password: IWASBORNINTHEUSA
If you found all the secret puzzle pieces, then you received an alternate ending. Biker looks through the files and figures out the Janitors’ plans. Going down and interrogating them, they confirm that 50 Blessings is a two-man operation and that they are making more bases therefore expanding the operation. However, the Janitors also state that they are only ‘the tip of the iceberg’. The goal of 50 Blessings was in fact to topple the Russo-American Coalition using the members as scapegoats and hopefully take back the country from the Russians (the members were Patriots who signed the contract of 50 Blessings stating that they were willing to die for their country).
Hotline Miami 1: On the Surface….
The story of Hotline 1 isn’t so hard to follow if you were skimming through the hidden messages. Simply put, Hotline Miami is a story about vengeance. So let’s put together the simple things into one long theory.
On April 3rd 1989 when Jacket recieves a mysterious message on his telephone. By this time Jacket has already signed up to 50 Blessings following the death of his best friend Beard. We know this because Beard is constantly giving Jacket free things whenever Jacket visits him whether at the Bar, VHS Palace, Pizza Parlor or the Snack Shop. And also Beard confirms that they are friends. Now the question is who the hell is Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus?
Let’s start with Richard since he is the most easiest to identify. The game strongly suggests that Richard is actually Jacket’s mental persona. Richard even goes so far as to say that him and Jacket met on the 3rd of April. Coincidentally on that same day, Jacket recieves his first mask: the Rooster mask. They way they both dress can’t be put off as a mere coincidence either as both have the exact same outfit.
What about Don Juan? Judging by how this character acts, it seems this is Jacket’s girlfriend (the Hooker). We never get much into detail about their relationship other than that Jacket rescues her from the Movie Producer. But as you play the game, you’ll notice that the apartment in which Jacket (and now girlfriend) live in get cleaner and cleaner. Then you’ll notice that the two beds that were once seperated are joined together. Going back to Don Juan, noticed how this character is dressed exactly like the Girlfriend. Another clue we get is that Don Juan seems to be worried about Jacket unlike the other two who constantly insult Jacket.
Rasmus is the off character unfortunately as he doesn’t really fit in with Richard and Don Juan. Rasmus literally HATES Jacket which leads me to believe that Rasmus is the embodiment of all the enemies that Jacket has killed over the course of the game.
Proof is in the pictures.
Now let’s go back to the main story.
The story begins with Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus talking about Jacket’s fate. On April 3rd 1989, Jacket goes out to do 50 Blessings’ bidding. Days pass and on April 25th 1989, Jacket rescues Hooker who later becomes his girlfriend. The next day Jacket encounters Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus again. Richard asks him 4 questions. After this encounter however, Jacket begins to see strange things. After someone bailed on a mission, 50 Blessings tasks Jacket with finishing the job. The Janitors (who are actually the ones behind 50 Blessings) spy on Jacket to see if he actually finishes the job. On May 23rd 1989, Jacket is sent to PhoneHom where 50 Blessings tells him that someone is trying to find them. Jacket heads to PhoneHom where he confronts and kills Biker. This is where it gets really confusing. Either Jacket killed Biker or Biker killed Jacket, we don’t know. I think this is a parallel timeline where Biker’s story serves only to answer the basic question of who 50 Blessings really are.
Another encounter with Richard, Don Juan and Rasmus, where Richard states the next meeting will be their last. After that, Jacket begins to see his once dead enemies. This is where Jacket meets Richter who kills his friend Beard in all the locations (Pizza Parlor, VHS Palace, Snack Shop and Bar). On June 8th (presumably) Jacket comes home to find that girlfriend was murdered by Richter, the man waiting for him to come home. Richter explains that he was sent by 50 Blessings to kill him. Richter shoots Jacket and leaves but doesn’t finish the job. Jacket wakes up only to find out that all the events so far has taken place in his head and that in actuality he has been in a coma all this time. Richard appears and warns that no matter what happens nothing Jacket does will change anything.
Enraged about the death of his girlfriend, Jacket wakes up from his coma, leaves the hospital, grabs his stuff and heads straight for the Police Station where he interrogates Richter. Jacket spares Richter and tries to find 50 Blessings. This ultimately leads him to the Mob Boss and then to the Old Man. After killing them both, Jacket pulls out a picture of both him and Beard on Hawaii, then proceeds to throw it out into the wind.
If there are any questions, go and ask away. I will put the commonly asked question on here. For the most part, this is how the story actually plays out.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Part 1
October 31st 1991 – The Fans go to their first killing spree in order to get the attention of 50 Blessings, who are at this point gone.
October 25th 1991 – In the bathroom, the newspaper makes mention of protests that went on near a courthouse outside. The Detective goes into a shopping center and proceeds to kill all the Colombians inside. The Detective then heads off to a crime scene where we learn that he has been following a series of murders that have started to pop up.
Look closely after the camera flash…can you see it?
April 25th 1989 – We take control of Jake, who recently signed up for 50 Blessings. Jake tries to talk with them but after finishing their message they hang up. After completing his mission, Jake goes to a Tattoo Parlor, unfortunately the clerk inside tells him that its booked. Angry, Jake insults the Russian clerk and leaves. Meanwhile we see Martin Brown (the Actor) in an interview where he starts to hallucinate during the show. Richard appears telling him that his story will have a twist where he doubts Martin will like it. Martin wakes up in an apartment just like Jacket’s. On the table is a script detailing how he is about to rape a girl. Martin goes to the phone where someone tells him that the girl he’s looking for is at the Police Station. He heads outside and is promptly arrested. At the station, Martin is interrogated but during the interrogation he hears and sees a telephone ringing. After the officer tells him that it’s a figment of his imagination, Martin answers it and begins his killing spree. As soon as he reaches the room where the girl is held, the girl grabs the officer’s gun and shoots Martin dead. It was all just a scene from the movie but Martin was actually shot dead.
November 5th 1991 – We see Jacket on trial for the crimes committed in the first game. A prosecutor questions the Police Chief on records of any ‘threatening messages’ that were left behind by 50 Blessings though it seems there was none on his answering machine. Jacket’s defendant question the Police Chief about messages at PhoneHom. Meanwhile we see the Writer at taking notes of the trial. After the trial, the Writer calls the Detective about a possible lead to the Hotline murders that have taken place. Outside of the Courthouse, you can see Biker (left) and the Fans (right).
(Thanks Tony the Quickscoper for the hint!)
At the Golden Truck Stop, the Writer meets with Petrov about the mysterious murders regarding 50 Blessings. Petrov confirms that the group of masked murders were not vigilantes but an organized group.
December 2nd 1991 – The Fans go out to rescue a friend’s sister rather than go out killing junkies and ‘scumbags’. On a nearby desk is the other newpaper (needed for EXTRA! EXTRA! Achievement). The newspaper mentions the 4th year anniversary of the bombing of San Francisco. After ‘rescuing’ her, she pulls a gun out and tells you to leave. The Fans’ van breaks down, Alex/Ash tells Tony to take it to his/her friend’s place to get it fixed.
November 21st 1991 – You take control of a gangster who wants out. He asks Son who tells him to finish one more job: Destroy the Colombians’ Chop Shop. Son offers the gangster some drugs, then he leaves. After killing all the Colombians, the gangster takes the bag of cash and heads home where he tells his girlfriend that he’s officially out and that he has a surprise for her. Upstairs there’s another newspaper for the EXTRA! EXTRA! Achievement. Driving away, the gangster listens to music when suddenly there is an emergency broadcast. Richard appears behind the gangster telling him that if he has no destination that he will just go around in circles. Richard also explains that the gangster is closing in on a dead end and says ‘Did you forget your girlfriend?’
November 22nd 1991 – The gangster looks under his bed to find that the cash he hid under his bed is gone and that the girlfriend left him (what a b****!).
At the club, the gangster keeps calling the girlfriend’s cell but to no avail. Frustrated, he throws the phone at the wall and starts to take the pills the Son gave him. The Fans break into the club and begin killing everyone and eventually the gangster who is too drugged to know what’s going on.
March 17th 1985 – We take control of Beard where he and his friends (Braid, Bandana, and Jacket) are at a bar. You can also see the Fans at the bar as well (top).
(Thanks Mr.Chelnoque!)
Going outside, Beard is stopped by the Writer who wants to take a picture of Jacket and him.
That same night, Beard is sent out on a mission to eliminate some Russian troops. Coming back from the mission, we see Braid punching a Russian troop and revealing that Bandana’s real name is Daniels. Talking to Daniels reveals Braid’s real name as Barnes.
December 9th 1991 – Fast forward and we take control of one of the Fans. On the table nearby is another newspaper. This one reveals that a movie adaptation of the Hotline murders sparked a lot of controversy soon after it was released. News of their killing spree airs and the Fans are joyous. Looking to spark more talks, the Fans go out for a treasure hunt. After killing a couple of junkies, one Fan hears a noise in the sewer down below. Tony says that he already checked but that no one was down there. You head down anyways to find more enemies.
December 10th 1991 – At Ash’s house, the Detective knocks on the door. Knowing that it is the police, Alex (his sister) goes to her room to hide her Swan outfit.
When she comes back, she finds the Detective already in her house. The Detective questions her as to her brother’s whereabouts, to which she answers that she doesn’t know and tells the Detective to leave.
(WHAT THE F*CK?!?!?!) [By the way thanks sooo much Gerald W. Atercrest for this!!]
At the docks, the Detective kills a bunch of Colombian Mobsters potentially ruining a police operation. The Detective arrives at another crime scene. The serial killer gutted his victim and took his wallet. An investigator suggests that it could be a copycat.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Part 2
December 20th 1991 – Mark retrieves his newly ordered masks: the Chicken Masks. Tony, Alex and Coby put on the new masks when all of a sudden Richard seemingly possess them giving Mark a big clue to what will happen next…
The phone rings and the Fans take off their new masks. Alex heads to the desk of phones and realizes neither of them are ringing. Ash pulls out a cellphone (he grabbed it from the dead gangster they beat up earlier in the game). On the phone is the Son explaining that the Russian Mob has a new place. Ash tells the Fans that they have something to do and brings them along. At the new Russian Mob HQ, the Fans all storm the place and begin killing the Mobsters.
Ash and Alex head to the roof once they are done. They try to contact the rest of the team however no one is responding. Confused they suggest to go check on the others when suddenly the Son shoots Ash dead.
High on the pills, the Son shoots Alex as well. He heads towards their bodies and the scene ends. We take control of the Detective who finds one of the Fans still alive. SWAT tries to stop him but the Detective proceeds. On the ground you can see that it’s Coby’s mask.
The Detective enters the room and Tony (the last one alive) immediately surrenders. Unfortunately, the Detective will have none of that and shoots Tony in the head.
The Fans are all dead. When you head outside, you can see the body of the Son who actually fell off the building in his state of high.
November 11th 1991 – Now we control the Writer. Right outside his room is a telephone that has a blinking red light. Pick up the phone to obtain the hidden Bar of Broken Heroes achievement. On the drawer to the left of his room is a newspaper. It makes mention of a 5th victim of the Miami Mutilator. The Writer heads to the subway where he is confronted by a bum asking for change. The Writer hands him the money when the bum wears Richard mask. “Do I look like I want your money?” says Richard. He then takes off his mask and we see the Writer’s wife underneath the mask. She accuses him of focusing too much on work and not his family. The wife decides to take the children and leave him.
The Writer pleads to give him some more time to finish the book. Richard cuts him off by saying “Time is something you don’t have”. The bum comes back and leaves the Writer confused. After completing the level, the Writer heads off to the bar (if you picked up the phone back at the Writer’s house) where he meets Biker.
Outside the bar however are the cars of the other character (Biker’s motorcycle, the Fan-mobile, Jacket’s car, the Son’s car and Richter’s car).
Inside the bar you can see the Fans, the gangster and the Son, Beard, Biker, Jacket, Jake, the Actor, the Homeless Man and someone else (I don’t know who that is actually).
Biker explains that he went out to search the people behind 50 Blessings but that he left town once he found out there was something bigger going on. He says that he left for the desert where he encountered somebody. This person scared Biker so much that he lost the will to fight. The Writer not convinced about the information decides not to pay the Biker. The Biker gets angry and tells the Writer to leave.
October 5th 1985 – Barnes talks about how he wants to open a bar and Daniels makes fun of him. Daniels wants to go back to teaching once the war is over. Beard agrees with both of them and says he has plans to return back to civilian life (no guns whatsoever). Beard goes to talk with the Colonel who says that he might get promoted to Lt. General. Saddened by the news, the Colonel reminds Beard of one final mission that the squad has to do before they can return home. After finishing their last mission, the group set up camp and rest.
June 3rd 1989 – Jake gets a phone call from 50 Blessings. Jake first heads off to a Patriotic Movement headquarters where he talks to the leader. Jake suggests to further expand the idea of 50 Blessings but the leader denies any further comment as they are a peaceful movement.
Jake immediately figures out that the leader is actually a member of 50 Blessings and leaves keeping the secret locked tight.
Read that banner carefully! You can see 50 Blessings on there.
After completing the mission (if you actually survived the 3rd floor without dying), the leader shows up and tells Jake that they need to talk.
They flee the scene. Jake has some great ideas but the leader interrupts him and leaves to get some ‘coffee’. The leader shoots Jake in the head.
Alternatively, if you fail to complete the level then Jake gets caught by the Russian gang members and gets killed anyways. We can see his body in Hotline 1 when Jacket enters the same level.
November 27th 1991 – Fast forward and we see that the Writer is looking at the evidence behind the Hotline murders using Jake’s clothing though he finds nothing. If you passed the level without dying on the third floor (and grabbed the item before Jake is killed), the Writer will find a floppy disc. You will get a secret level for the Writer where he encounters all the masks of Hotline Miami. The masks asks you to leave and try to kill you. [Credit to HumorusWags]
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Part 3
October 31st 1985 – The group of soldiers are again tasked for another mission as they are to assault a power plant this time. Both Daniels and Barnes are fed up knowing that it’s a suicide mission. Suddenly a mysterious figure comes out with a Panther face mask (a literally skinned face mask). Saying that death and destruction is just part of human nature, Beard cuts him off. It’s the Colonel in the mask.
He leaves saying that he has a bit too much to drink. The next day, Beard gets ready for their final mission. The Colonel warns him that they might all die.
After clearing the area, the team regroups and finds that the boss of the area killed his people so that they didn’t die at the hands of the team. The boss shoots himself before they can open the door. The alarm sounds, Barnes tries to leave via elevator when the elevator explodes. Jacket is injured but alive. Daniels rushes to Barnes and realizes that while he is alive (you can actually see him moving) half his body was blown up.
He decides to stay. Beard picks Jacket off the ground and rushes out of the power plant. Beard quickly calls for a helicopter and tends to Jacket in the meantime. Beard hands Jacket a photo (same one that Jacket throws off the balcony from the 1st game) as a keep sake so Jacket can remember who saved his life.
April 3rd 1986 – At San Francisco, we see Beard in his lovely little snack shop. He is over the phone (probably talking to Jacket) and asks when the guy is planning to send a copy of the picture. Beard hears a disturbance and tells the guy that he’s going to see what it is. A giant explosion overtakes his shop. An atomic bomb has fallen on San Francisco….
We fast forward to the Writer. On the desk is another newspaper. The Writer gets a call from somebody who is willing to give information on the Hotline murders. In exchange for the information, this man wants the Writer to buy him a plane ticket. The man starts off by saying that he got strange messages telling him to send other cryptic messages and painting a symbol (the circle with 3 line running across it) on buildings. Eventually the calls got violent and the man had no choice but to go along with them.
April 2nd 1989 – We play as Richter in this backstory. On the 2nd floor you can talk to his mom, where you come to find that she is weaken by some sort of disease. She dreamed that Richter was on an island with his father staring out into the ocean when she starts to feel as if something terrible happened. When Richter comes back home, he finds his mother on the table eating dinner. He is concerned that she is overworking herself since the doctor had recommended she stay in bed.
April 10th 1989 – The mom wants to take a bath however Richter is unable to. Richter’s excuse is that he ‘searching for a job’. Later on, Richter finds his mom passed out on the floor of the bathroom. He carries her into the bedroom where she sleeps.
April 23rd 1989 – Richter checks up on her mother. She has a suspicion that he is up to no good but Richter reassures her that he is going out to the bar with a friend.
We go back to the Writer. On his bed is the next newspaper. Get it before you go back to the phone. Richter continues by saying that after he got locked up he got a visit from two people.
July 20th 1990 – The two Janitors visit Richter in the prison. No longer of any use to them, they say their goodbyes (implying that they were going to kill him) and leave. Richter goes back to the yard where he is confronted by a 50 Blessings member tasked to kill him. Richter kills him and escapes where he sees there’s a breakout. Dressing up as a cop, Richter escapes the prison and heads for Hawaii. The plane ticket he asked for earlier was for his mom.
The Writer finishes the story with Richter and promises to get the plane ticket for his mom. Going to the table, the Writer reads a letter his wife sent asking if anything is alright. The Writer seemingly ignores it and continues to type up his draft.
November 18th 1991 – We take control of the Son who is angered by the Colombians after the fall of the Russian mob. Apparently, the Colombians stole the Mob’s territory. The Son plans to crash their bar party with guns and blood. He takes the gangster with him and leaves for the bar.
The Son returns from his killing spree. He warns the gangster that his girlfriend will eventually come to her senses and that it’s too dangerous to stick to one girl. Nonetheless he lets the gangster have his share of the money. (Just one a side note you can see pixelated boobs in this outro, though I’m not going to screenshot this you pervs…..Act 5 Scene 21…..research).
December 7th 1991 – The Son targets a bank now where the Colombians stash their money. Just before you leave for the level on the desk just before you get on the elevator is the 2nd to last newspaper. The Son goes into the Vault and finds both his father and grandfather waiting for him (we also see the Mob Boss’ girl behind the grandfather). The Mob Boss is disheartened to see that his only son is following in his footsteps.
He warns that the Son will only see the end when it is too late. Richard takes over the Old Man and agrees with the Mob Boss. We play as the Detective again and we are thrown into the crime scene where his killer has been at it again. The Detective goes to his house. On the stove is the last newspaper (if you followed the story thus far you will unlock the EXTRA! EXTRA! Achievement). The Detective wakes up unable to find his gun. He returns to the crime scene where he encounters a puppet. The puppet knew that he would return, ‘Murderers always return to the scene of the crime.’
The puppet confesses that the Detective created him so they are technically related by blood (this will make sense in a bit). The puppet tries to strangle him but the Detective pushes him away. He is greeted by the Director (the guy from the Actor’s sequence) and the Detective is thrown into a movie scripted upon all of his guilt. The Police Chief accuses the Detective of murdering innocent civilians tying him into the Miami Mutilator murders (Hotline murders).
The Detective runs and is met with a bunch of police officers. He tries to convince him that he is an officer as well but they all shoot him. He wakes up from his nightmare. It was all just a dream but when the station calls him to come back, he hangs up and pulls out his gun (making sure that it’s in his pocket).
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, Part 4
December 14th 1991 – After his little melt down, the Detective tries to talk to the Son but gets stopped by his henchmen. The Detective leaves and the Son is in the back beating up another Colombian. The Son then leaves to take over the Colombian Mob HQ where he confronts the Boss. He kills everyone and successfully takes over the HQ.
December 20th 1991 – The Son calls the gangster at which time has been killed by the Fans. The Son begins downing a lot of pills.
One of his members tells him to go easy. Suddenly he begins to trip out. He starts to see his dead members come back alive. He begins his rampage through the HQ. He sees a bear tearing apart his comrade. He kills the bear (we know this is Mark).
He starts to see his members die one by one (if you notice the ammo gauge you can see that every time one dies, it takes one shell. This suggests that he keeps killing them). The Son gets transported into s room where he is attacked by what looks like either a unicorn or a horse (this is Coby). He kills the horse and gets teleported back at the HQ. The Son goes into a long hallway which transforms into a jungle (similar to Hawaii) and at the end he sees a Tiger (Tony). The Son hits the Tiger but instead it runs away. The Son finally heads to the roof where he fights a two headed Swan Dragon….thing (Alex and Ash). After killing it, he walks off into the rainbow road where the game ends (we know that he actually falls off the building and dies).
December 28th 1991 – We get back to Richter and his mom in Hawaii watching a show. The show is actually about the Writer in his new book. The book points out that the Hotline murder investigation was a complete mess. Suddenly an emergency new broadcast report that both the US and Russian Presidents were murdered by a band of armed men led by a retired US Army General (we can assume that this was the Colonel). Richard takes over Richter’s mom. He warns that there is no more time left, that everything must come at a close. Richter unwilling to fight understands. We see nukes fall upon the rest of the heroes.
After the credits, the game developers tease Hotline Miami 3 (those bast*rds….).
