The Seamoth: What Is It?

The Seamoth:
The Seamoth is a small one person submarine that is constructed using the Mobile Vehicle Bay. Due to the fact that it can be customized with a Moonpool and a Vehicle Modification Station, the Seamoth is very versatile.
The Seamoth can be constructed by the player using the Mobile Vehicle Bay. However, the player will first need to find and scan three Seamoth Fragments using the Scanner.
Upon entering the Seamoth, the player’s Oxygen stores will be replenished, unless the Seamoth is depleted of Energy. This enables the player to dive into deeper areas of the ocean that are not easily accessible by swimming or by using the Seaglide. However, if the Seamoth is out of energy, the oxygen within the Seamoth will slowly run out, until the point where the player is losing oxygen within the Seamoth.
The Seamoth has an energy supply that needs to be maintained by replacing the Power Cell on its back. It can be recharged while connected to the Moonpool. (I made a Guide about the Moonpool, here:)

The Seamoth Upgrades

The Seamoth can be customized with the Vehicle Modification Station. The console allows the Seamoth to be named and its colours changed. The console also crafts upgrade modules for the Seamoth. Up to four of these modules can be applied to the upgrade panel found on the Seamoth’s left wing.

How To Craft The Seamoth?

To Craft The Seamoth You Need: (Except The Seamoth Fragments)

x1 Titanium Ingot.
x1 Power Cell.
x2 Glass.
x1 Lubricant.

Then Go To The Mobile Vehicle Bay, And Craft It. 4 Small “Drones” Will Create It For You At The Air And Then Drop Into The Water. (Quite Nice To See)

Now Continue And See How To Get The Seamoth Fragments.

The Fragments: Step 1

To Start Searching The Seamoth Fragments, Make Sure You Have:

  • At Least 3 Oxygen Tanks
  • Seaglide + Spare Battery
  • Scanner
  • Water
  • Life Pod 17 Signal
  • Radioation Suit (+Gloves And Helmet)
  • Fins

Now, Go To Lifepod 17, With The Signal You Have.
When You Arrived To There, Continue To Step 2.

The Fragments: Step 2

This Is The Biome You Need To Be At. You Can Go To Lifepod 17 And From There Start Searching.

Now, Take Your Scanner And Seaglide, Fill Your Air Tank And Go Down WIth Your Seaglide. Near The Big Wreck Of Grassy Plateaus The Fragments Should Be. They Looks Like This:

They Are Pretty Hard To See, And Probably You Will Need To Go To The Surface Couple Times Before Collecting All The Fragments.
When Your’e Done To Collect 3 Fragments, Just Swim Back To Your Lifepod And Place The Mobile Vehicle Bay. Then Climb It And Build The Seamoth. (See: “How To Craft The Seamoth?” Section)

That’s It!
