The Untimely Death of Baurus the Blade for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The Untimely Death of Baurus the Blade

Overview

A tribute to Baurus the Blade, brought on by his death in my playthrough – May he rest in piece in this Oblivion parody of Bob Dylan’s “The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll”

Oblivion Parody Lyric’s – Enjoy!

Mythic Dawn Cultists killed poor Baurus the Moral
With a sword that they swung around as their enchanted rings lingered
At a Underground sewer “fateful” gath’rin’
As the guards were called in and their lives, they took from them
As they dragged their in death, down to the guardhouse
And burnt the Mythic Dawn’s bodies for Blade murder
But he who deserves our embrace; he died before his years
Take your hand away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears.

Baurus the Blade who at twenty-four years
Owned such honour that they’d be no fakers
With unknown parents who in the end, couldn’t protect him
And high office relations in the politics of Cyrodiil
Reacted to the deed with a shrug of their shoulders
And swear words and sneering and their tongue it was snarling
As within minutes they had forgot him
But he who deserves our embrace; he died before his years
Take your hand away from your face
Now ain’t the time for our tears.

Baurus the Redguard was a man in the service
He was unknown years old and gave birth to no children
He carried the torches and took out the cultists
He never sat once at the head of the table
He didn’t even talk to the people about his fable
He’d just killed all the cultists he was able
And emptied the artieries on a whole other level
Got killed by a blow, lay slain in some pain
That did loom, and tested his mettle
Doomed and determined to destroy the gentle
But he never done nothing to the cultist at the table
But he who deserves our embrace; he died before his years
Take your hand away from your face
Now ain’t the time for your tears.

In the Blade Temple, Martin did speak just like gravel
To show that all’s equal and that all men are on the level
And that the words and the gods ain’t pulled and persuaded
And that even the Redguards get properly buried
Once that the Champion have chased after and killed ’em
And that ladder of life has no top and no bottom
Stared at the people who killed for a reason
Who just happened to be killin’ that day without warnin’
And he spoke through his robes, most deep and embelished
And handed out strongly, for penalty and destruction
Mehrunes Dagon with a death sentence
But he who deserves our embrace; he died before his years
Place your hand into your face
Now is the time for our tears.
