Tips for Beginners and Walkthrough for Advanced Missions

Overview

Simple guide explaining skulls, skills, game progress and hard missions at the end of game. Cursed Treasure 2 is one of the classical TD games. I hope you are enjoying it and this guide will help you. Disclaimer: I’m not author of the video walkthroughs. Original authors are: Wyvern Studios, Taior3 Studios, ptiger123, 폰게임.

Skulls

This is very important! Do NOT spend skulls. Save all of them for the last three levels (lvl. 22, 23 & 24). With skulls you can buy Grand Spells (more gold, mana refill, freeze enemies and gems return) on each map.

Skulls are very rare and it may require a lot of grinding to get some more after spending them unreasonably. During regular gameplay you’ll be able to gather approximatelly 3000 skulls.

As I’ve written before. Do NOT spend any skulls before levels 22-24. This will be explained later in the guide. You’ll need at least 2000-2500 skulls at the end of this game to get all achievements.

If you really need to use skulls buy only gold and mana refills. Freeze enemies and Gems return are useless since you can simply use regular Terror spells to repel enemies and prevent them from stealing your gems.

Badges and Achievements

There is no need for detailed achievements guide since there are no hidden achievements. And all achievements/bagdes have simple and clear description. You should be able to get all achievements during regular gameplay.

Some achievements require to focus on some special enemies (e.g. Hostile Waters) or challenging game elements (e.g. Monuments Keeper). Some achievements require a bit of grinding (Father of Nations, Brilliant and Starry achievements). But again. It’s not very hard to get all of them.

Skills

I’ve finished this game several times on different platforms. There some skills you should buy as soon as possible and some are less usefull so you don’t have to invest into those.

Do not focus only on one nation. Distribute skills point evenly between Orks, Undead and Demons. Go for important skills. First I go for INFAMY and then I usually try to put most of my points to undead until I reach HAUNTED CAVE skill. At this point I’m approx. at level 10-15. And my distribution is approx. 10 points at Orks, 10 at Demons and 15-20 at Undead. Also it’s good to have at least one point at each available skill. I’ll list some important skills.

Demons:

  • Go for INFAMY and max it at the beginning. This will speed up your leveling and game progress.
  • CONTRIBUTION and INFERNAL MAGNET are very useful skills you should get with at least 2-3 skils points each.

Undead:

  • HAUNTED CAVE will give your caves undead charges. Great defence!
  • ANCESTRAL WISDOM will help you very much with more mana.
  • SOUL DISTILLATION is also very helpful for mana drops.
  • REAPER’S TOUCH and TERROR MASTERY are also important spells.

Orks:

  • DIE AND DELIVER gives really great boost.
  • TIMBER YARD + CUT OUT MASTERY is a must have combo.

Next progress is up to you. Make your towers cheaper. Buy all skills and slowly boost them. Last skills I boost are the traps. Traps can be helpful sometimes but they are so great. It takes some time to max all of your skills. If you want all brilliant badges you’ll be able to reach max level
without any problems.

Mission Progress and Brilliant/Starry Badges 1-15

Basically try to complete as many missions as you can. Do not focus on getting three stars. After you can’t progress further just go back and start completing easier missions on three stars. This will boost your experience and level growth.

Up to mission 15 there is no need for any guides. So far the game is enjoyable. For 3-star completion of mission 15 you should be at level 35-40.

Wasteland – Brilliant/Starry Badges 16-18

Here the game gets harded. There are some special enemies. I recommend to be at least around level 40-45 to complete these mission on best rating.

But you don’t have to be afraid. It’s quite easy to complete those missions with boosted skills. Just get familiar with mission map and enemy waves, focus and progress slowly.

MISSION 17

MISSION 18

Free Coast – Brilliant/Starry Badges 19-21

Here the game gets nasty and a bit unfair in my opinion. Maps are really difficult and enemies unforgiving. I recommend to be at least around level 45-50 to complete these mission on best rating.

These missions requires extreme focus and precision. And a bit of a luck I’m afraid. If you’re really stuck you can use some skulls for single gold or mana refill. But these missions were in the original game and can be completed without using any skulls.

Be carefull, patient and get familiar with map layout and enemy waves. Maps are small and ninjas will be able to reach your caves while cloaked. Have some mana for 2-3 terror spells. And at mission 21 be careful because there is one ninja wave almost at the end of this mission and it’s easy to overlook this one.

MISSION 19

MISSION 20

MISSION 21

The Deep – Brilliant/Starry Badges 22-24

These missions were not in the original game and were made a long time after first release. I think when game was recently re-released for mobiles (Android) missions 22-24 and skulls mechanics were introduced.

Problem is that skills and spells were designed for 21 missions not 24. And enemies in The Deep are overpowered.

These mission are the reason why I said you should save skulls. I guess The Deep can be completed normally but for me it’s very frustrating. Map desing is very difficult, enemies and buildings extremely tough.

First just get familiar with layout of each mission map and enemy waves. Play it normally at least once. Good. Now it’s time to use skulls. Start level. Buy gold. Cut trees. Build all necessary towers. Buy mana. Destroy buildings which don’t release enemies. Win mission.

Once you spend skulls proceed with caution. If you loose you won’t get those skulls back. At each level you need to buy gold and mana. That’s 250 skulls for Brilliant and 250 skulls for Starry. For missions 22 and 23 it’s OK. But for mission 24 you might want to buy even more gold or mana.

You need at least 2000 to complete these missions smoothly without being frustrated.

Always have some mana for 2-3 terror spells and 1-2 fireballs.
Destroy Supply Depots after your towers are leveled up.
Use only terror spell on final bosses.
