Overview
In this guide I list you top 5 Z-Souls you benefit from the most, especially in PvP.
Z-SOUL #5
“It’s like a Super Saiyan bargain sale…”
Quite the Z-Soul for those who love to transform.
Let’s face it, Super Saiyan/Super Vegeta and most Kaioken transformations are pretty useless, despite their aesthetics. All you get is the tiniest boost in blast damage (for Super Vegeta 1 & 2),
And strike for Super Saiyan 1 & 2. And don’t get me started on Kaioken.
The infinite ki won’t benefit you in real battles either; the AI is dumb enough to walk into your blasts on their own.
So let’s talk about how this Z-Soul makes transformations more useful:
- For one, it makes them last a lot longer.
- Your stamina recovery speed increases.
This, combined with the benefits of transformations.
Believe it or not, your stamina is a lot more precious than your Ki. If you’re all out of it, and your enemy knows what he’s doing, you are going to have to take a lot of damage before it recovers.
Constantly abusing Ki and activating the same move is not the most strategic fighting style, but most people on Xenoverse seem to adopt it.
In order for any Z-Soul to be good, you have to know how to utilise it. This Z-Soul is stamina management through transformation.
And unlike many Z-Souls, this one doesn’t make you weaker after some time passes or you lose some health. This one stays a part of you, and gives you more reason to use transformations. Especially in PvP, where Super Saiyans with no strategy are fishbait.
Z-SOUL #4
“I’m not gonna be that easy!
This Z-Soul can mess anybody up.
Remember how this Z-Soul said ‘there is a low chance to decrease their stamina by a large amount‘?
Yeah, pretty OP when you combine this with an attack like Meteor Crash, Emperor’s Death Beam, Full Power Blast Volley, or Flash Bomber. Each hit from these attacks is rapid and constant, further increasing your chances of damaging your enemy’s stamina more and more. If they don’t escape immediately when you hit them with these, they could get stuck in them for good and take it all.
And after that, what are they left with? Painfully low stamina, and health that has sustained a lot of damage. Easily vulnerable to your next attack.
And it’s not just those moves. Even for basic combos this Z-Soul can be very beneficial. Infinite
combos deliver a lot of constant and somewhat rapid damage too. They could truly get infinitely trapped in it when your Z-Soul does not allow for their stamina to recover upon delivering damage.
One downside to this Z-Soul though… although it does not say that it reduces your own stamina recovery… it kinda does. And it sucks.
Z-SOUL #3
“I’m neither Kami nor Piccolo now…”
The most defensive Z-Soul on the battlefield.
At full stamina, you auto-block.
At full Ki, you heal slightly.
This Z-Soul lowers a lot of your risks thanks to its auto-block.
You can wait for your opponent to come at you without hesitation, and then counter
his attack. Whether that be with a perfect block, or something else where any other Z-Soul would put you at risk of getting caught in an attack.
It’s especially efficient on Namekians, as their stamina recovers a lot quicker than other races, allowing you to utilise the auto block more and more. Plus their long reach adds to the defensive playstyle.
It may not look like much, but this is one of the best Z-Souls in the game. It may not help you spam Super Kamehameha, but if you know how to avoid your enemy, this Z-Soul will make it a hell of a lot easier.
It’s all about avoiding, countering, and striking at your opponent’s openings. With this Z-Soul equipped, it won’t be as easy for you to make them yourself.
Z-SOUL #2
“Aren’t I nice?!”
The cousin of the best Z-Soul on this top 5 list.
You may need to use the “Mach Dash” evasive for this one, as it needs a reinforcement
skill to be activated. The Z-Soul itself even increases the length of your reinforcement skills,
allowing for itself to last longer.
So let’s get into what it actually does, shall we?
* Your Ki will skyrocket when you’re taking or delivering damage. 3 hits or maybe even less for each bar.
* Your stamina will recover a lot quicker than on any Z-Soul, allowing you better stamina management.
It’s the perfect Z-Soul for any race, but at the cost of having a good evasive. Not saying Mach Dash is bad, it’s just I’m not a fan of those evasives that simply get you away from the enemy, not allowing you a counter on them like Angry Shout or Vanisher Guard.
I don’t want to say too much about this Z-Soul before we get to the last one, as both of them are very similar. Let’s just view this one as a non-DLC version of it.
Regardless, this one’s Ki and Stamina recovery does seem a lot more powerful, but again, at the cost of having to activate Mach Dash every 15 seconds.
Z-SOUL #1
“Might as well…”
By far the best Z-Soul for everything, and it completes the character.
It doesn’t make you weaker later, it doesn’t lose its ability, it doesn’t need to get activated, this
Z-Soul will be all that you are.
The speed increase it gives is not even a joke, it’s very decent. After using it for so long, you’ll instantly notice the difference when you take it off.
The huge stamina regen allows you to manage your stamina better. As always, stay out of combat when low, let it recover. Don’t let your opponent take advantage of your stamina at a low level.
Your Ki will regenerate up to 1 bar from 3 hits taken or delivered, allowing you to easily combo enemies into blast or strike attacks. No infinite Super Saiyan Ki needed. Just get them into a 3 hit combo and top it off with a skill attack.
Example:
Light(X) + Light(X) + Heavy(Y) + Kamehameha (Uncharged)
The 3 hits create you 1 Ki bar and you’re able to use a skill to combo in with the attack.
And the best part is, most of blasts and strikes work with this exact combo.
This is the best Z-Soul for PvP and everything else after you’ve mastered your playstyle with it.
