Trading-Poxbox-New players

Overview

Are you new and ready to trade for better runes? This guide is to give a little insight on how trade works in poxnora so that you get your values worth and not cheated

Value

The purpose of this thread is to give all of our new players an idea on how trade works and how to get the best value out of your runes. Note: I’m not a pro in this subject so I ask veteran players to add their input as well. So let’s get started.

Just a few words I abbreviate
Ppl=people
ER=exotic rune
PB=Poxbox

Runes come in 6 rarities.

1. Common (yellow)
2. Uncommon (red)
3. Rare (blue)
4. Exotic (purple)
5. Legendary (green)
6. Limited (gray/silver)

The first 3 rarities you will normally be able to get without any problems. You can get them through forging, playing games, buying packs, and some people may even give them to you for free if they have the spare. The last 3 is where your understanding of value comes in at. You may think that if I have an exotic rune and I want another type of exotic rune(ER) it should be simple. That brings us to supply and demand.

1. Supply and demand. There are some types of (ER) that brings more to the table than others. Whether it’s a strong unit, has game changing abilities, or more people are playing that faction. So these runes will be higher in value because more ppl want them; even though the rune you are willing to trade has the same rarity. Example: I have an exotic Rune A and I want an exotic Rune B. They’re both exotic, but Rune B happens to be really strong at the moment. So you would need Rune A and something else to equal or exceed Rune Bs value. You may be thinking; where can I find its value?

For this, we will look at a site called Poxbox (www.poxbox.net). This is not the “official” place to find a runes value, but it is what most people go by. So after you go to this site, you’ll see a login area on the left. There will be a register button under that. Click that and go through the process. Once you’re done and you’re logged in, the first 2 tabs you will see at the top will be Welcome and Trader Online/Offline. Click on the second tab and wait for it to load. For this thread, were just going to focus on the values that you see.

On the right you will see “Runes to trade IN” and on the left “Runes to trade OUT”. Runes to trade IN is the value of runes you are trading/giving to the site and Runes to trade Out is the value of runes that you want to receive. Each rune has a square around it that shows its picture, name, price, and “no runes please trade in” if it’s not in stock. To find runes easily on the site, just press Ctrl + F. The price besides the rune shows it value. So using Runes A and B again, if Rune A has a price of 10k (k being 1,000) and Rune B has a price of 25k, it’s not a good trade for the person who has Rune B. Now if the person who has Rune B does not agree with poxbox’s price of the runes, they may trade anyway but that falls under preference.

So the person with Rune B is all the new players to Poxnora who may be reading this. The purpose is for you not to get scammed first of all. And also because I know you’re ready to trade for better runes or runes that you like. This is not complete until other players give their input because one may be able to explain a certain part better than me. Just be cautious when you trade. A great way to understand values is to get into a guild. Preferably, a top 30 one if they will accept. They tend to have more active ppl and usually friendly

In closing, you don’t want to trade a rune and find out a week or so later that it was worth way more than what you got for it. I state again, PB is NOT the official value of all runes. I see it as a decent guideline to go by. There are other sites beside PB that someone might bring out in this thread. Poxbase (www.poxbase.com) is a site that allows you to find runes easier. You can search by faction or expansion. It’s a really handy site that allows you to access and find runes during a game. If I summon a champ you can’t see, simply type its name on poxbase and you’ll learn all you need to know about it.
