A quick guide on how to solve mouse sensitivity issues when playing EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair on a Windows 10 operating system.

For users that run the game using the OS Windows 10, there’s been a lot of complaints about unwarranted mouse acceleration to the point that the game becomes unplayable. Users that adjust the mouse sensitivity in game report that performance is slowed, feels sluggish, unresponsive and wobbly, making it difficult to play properly. There’s a simple fix for this otherwise annoying problem.

To fix this problem, right-click your game’s name in your library from the Steam menu and select the last option: Properties.
In this new window, select the “Local Files” tab to bring up the directory where you’ve install the game. Locate the game’s executable file (.exe file) and right click it, then select the last option again: Properties.
This will bring up a new window for the game itself. Head over to the second tab: Compatability. Check the box “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:” and then in the drop down box select “Application” if it isn’t already selected.
That’s all you need to do. Now, re-load the game and you should be good to go. If you already changed the in game sensitivty, I’d recommend either setting it back to default or your previous settings. Now go kill some giant insects!
