Overview
This guide contains a collection of building layouts which I’ve been using for while now; partially self-made, partially from contributors on the official Anno 2070 Wiki website. These layouts are focussed on productivity and efficiency and should therefore be used in the more high-end games with large cities and high numbers of inhabitants. This guide will scope on the Tycoon buildings. Be sure to check my other guides for the Eco and Tech layouts. All the layouts include: a list of required goods needed to build the layout, an in-game screenshot of the layout and a schematical layout. The following production layouts will be discussed: – Building modules – Coal & coal power plants- Liquor- Convience food- Plastics- Luxury meals – Champagne – Jewelry- Pharmaceuticals Production lines like tools, concrete, weapons, etc. are bound by resources, therefore I can’t make any layouts for them.
Building modules
This building modules layout requires a 12×12 box.
Requirements (total):
– 15 ton tools
– 1 ton building modules
– 780 credits (inc. roads)
– Available resources: basalt
Layout includes:
– 4x Basalt crusher plant
– 4x Smelter plant
– 1x Depot (any level)
Coal & coal power plants
This coal production layout requires a 14×14 box.
Requirements (total):
– 15 ton tools
– 5 ton building modules
– 600 credits (inc. roads)
Layout includes:
– 4x Rotary excavator
– 1x Depot (any level)

This coal power plants layout requires a 16×14 box.
Requirements (total):
– 23 ton tools
– 7 ton building modules
– 1240 credits (inc. roads)
Layout includes:
– 4x Rotary excavator
– 2x Coal power plant
– 1x Depot (any level)

Note: the coal surplus created by this layout can be used to power other coal power plants or can be used in an iron smelter to create iron.
Liquor
This liquor production layout requires a 12×26 box.
Requirements (total):
– 11 ton tools
– 17 ton building modules
– 1020 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Fertility: rice
Layout includes:
– 8x Distillery
– 1x Depot (any level)
Convience food
This convience food production layout requires a 24×15 box.
Requirements (total):
– 29 ton tools
– 15 ton building modules
– 41 ton concrete
– 2030 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Fertility: vegetables
Layout includes:
– 2x Flavor lab
– 4x Meat factory
– 3x Convience food factory
– 1x Depot (any level)

Note: the setup with 2 flavor labs and 4 meat factories probably works best on islands with a very positive ecobalance. When having a negative ecobalance, try a ‘3x flavor, 3x meat’-setup.
Note: When using 3 convience food factories, the changes are that they won’t all run @ 100%, 2 convience food factories will. Use the space for a third convience food factory for something else (for example a basalt crusher or a coal power plant).
Plastics
This plastics production layout requires a 14×14 box.
Requirements (total):
– 27 ton tools
– 15 ton building modules
– 30 ton concrete
– 2680 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Available resources: oil
Layout includes:
– 6x Oil driller
– 2x Plastic factory
– 2x Oil refinery
– 1x Depot (any level)

Note: oil can also be drilled from an underwater plateau. If you’re getting your oil this way instead of using oil drillers on land, just build some refineries and plastic factories in a simple and efficient corridor.
Luxury meals
This luxury meals layout requires a 10×20 box for the production of truffles.
Requirements (truffle farms):
– 9 ton tools
– 1 ton building modules
– 16 ton concrete
– 6 ton steel
– 940 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Fertility: truffles
Layout includes:
– 2x Truffle farm
– 1x Depot (any level)

Note: for the production of luxury meals you will also need some lobster farms and luxury meals factories. Lobster farms can only be build on specific lobster population locations (always near a beach). Luxury meal factories can just be build in a simple corridor.
Champagne
This champagne production layout requires two fields:
– a 18×12 box for the production of sugar beets
– a 35×18 box for the production of grapes
Requirements:
– 19 ton tools
– 15 ton building modules
– 2040 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Fertility: sugar beets
Layout includes:
– 2x Sugar beet plantation
– 1x Depot (any level)

Requirements (grapes and champagne cellars):
– 50 ton tools
– 25 ton building modules
– 64 ton concrete
– 47 ton steel
– 2900 credits (inc. roads and fields)
– Fertility: grapes
Layout includes:
– 4x Vineyard
– 3x Champagne cellar
– 1x Depot (must be level 3!)

Note: Since the air transporter must be used to collect the grapes from the vineyard, I prefer to use a road to connect the champagne cellars with the depot. In my oppinion, the layout with the road works better than a layout without a road.
Jewelery
For the production of Jewelery, we will need a 24×20 box to produce Diamonds. Don’t forget that this layout must be built underwater!
Requirements (inc. power plants and depot):
– 72 ton tools
– 136 ton building modules
– 19140 credits (inc. underwater transport road and fields)
– Available resources: diamonds
– Must be build underwater!
Layouts includes:
– 4x Diamond harvesting station
– 4x Marine current power plant
– 1x Underwater depot

Notes:
– Since underwater plateaus are often small and very irregular, changes are that the underwater layouts might be too large. In that case, try to fit the production plants as efficient as possible.
– Running 4 Diamond harvesting stations at 100% will ensure enough Diamonds to keep 4 Jewelery manufacturers running at 100%. Besides the Diamonds, you will also need 4 Gold melteries. To keep these running smoothly, you will also need 4 Gold refineries and 4 Rotary excavators.
Pharmaceuticals
This pharmaceuticals production layout requires three fields:
– a 18×22 box for the production of omega acids
– a 18×18 box for the production of algaes
– additional space for the production of manganese modules.
Requirements:
– 54 ton building modules
– 116 ton tools
– 162 ton concrete
– 94 ton steel
– 3900 credits (inc. roads and fields)
Layout includes:
– 6x Fat factory
– 2x Chemical plant
– 2x Healthcare office
– 1x Depot (any level)

Requirements:
– 22 ton tools
– 56 ton building modules
– 8460 credits (inc. underwater transport road and fields)
– Fertility: algae
– must be build underwater!
Layouts includes:
– 4x Aquafarm
– 2x Marine current power plant
– 1x Underwater depot

Requirements (manganese modules/rare-earth elements):
– Available resources: manganese modules
– must be build underwater!
Both the Manganese excavation robots and the Rare-earth borers can be build in a simple line.
note: since underwater plateaus are often small and very irregular, changes are that the underwater layouts might be too large. In that case, try to fit the production plants as efficient as possible.
