Ultimate Guide to All Endings and All CGs for Backstage Pass

Ultimate Guide to All Endings and All CGs

Overview

We all have that one ending that bugs the ever-loving H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks out of us due to frustration in getting it. As someone who has accomplished every ending (multiple times), and someone who has discovered the actual formulas for getting several of these, I’ve broken it down for you in the simplest, easiest way to get them all. So let’s get started, shall we?

Overview

There are a total of 16 endings to this game, and some of them are hair-rippingly difficult to get. I’ve broken down the lot of them in an easy, step-by-step method, beginning from a common path, and then telling you how to branch out from there.

One thing of note for most major events: make a save before hand and go shopping, buying all available outfits (either full outfits or tops) because many CGs will have alternate versions of them. This is especially common with endings, but even some other events that happen throughout (such as Benito teaching you a magic trick, or initiating romance with Adam at the aquarium).

Expelled From School

This one doesn’t use the common route, because all you ever do is sleep, every chance you get. Never study, never build your stats, never socialize, never shop, never accept any jobs emailed to you (except the mandatory one at the start)… just sleep. As such, I suggest you not do this one first, and instead do it after completing another path. You can just set the whole game on skip, include the after choices option, and let it run.

You start with a 2.5 GPA, and it drops by approximately 0.01 every time you sleep during the week (sometimes it flashes red but doesn’t go down). As you can imagine from those numbers, it’s going to take a couple months to bring your GPA below 2.0, and even that isn’t good enough. At the start of the next month, you get put on academic probation and told you have another month to bring your GPA back up to acceptable standards. Keep sleeping, and you’ll get expelled at the start of the following month. This happened in late November for me to drop below 2.0, meaning I was on probation all of December and kicked out on 1/1.

Common Path

This path will be used for every ending route, no matter which you go for, except one (which is the expelled ending).

Now, there will be some achievements that will not be included in this path, but you should be able to get the majority of them. The ones that will not be specifically covered here will be “Fashion Forward,” “Shopaholic,” “All about the money,” and “Baking Champion.” That said, most of these will be relatively easy to get on certain character’s paths (namely Matthew’s, John’s, Alvin’s, and Lloyd’s), and I will discuss where those are best used. That said, let’s get started.

That said, it is important to check your email EVERY weekend. I’ll try to list when job opportunities come up, but I might have missed some. Until you hit 10/25, accept every job offered to you. 10/25 is where this stops, as it becomes the determining factor of which routes you can go on.

Your first actual choice in the game comes on 8/28 with John, where you need to choose to “Accept his offer.”

From here, you want to focus on Fitness and Fashion (Exercise and Work respectively) for a while, as you will be getting large Charisma boosts soon from the consumables we will be buying. Once they are all relatively even, keep an even balance of them until the critical point.

9/5 – Upon running into Matthew, choose “Ask who he’s hiding from.” Afterwards, go shopping again and hit up Brains and Puzzles. Buy stat boosting consumables rather than the Fatigue reducing ones (one or two of the Fatigue ones is acceptable, but our focus now is on boosting the stats). I recommend History of Makeup, Workout Music, and the trio of DVDs. Adam will come with you.

The next time you go to the mall (be it during the week, over a weekend, whatever), it will ask if you want to invite Adam along or go alone. Go alone, and you’ll run into Nicole (necessary for her path, as she won’t give you her number otherwise). She will ask about what happened between you and Matt before, so choose the option to “Tell her the truth.”

Week of 9/7-9/11 – Choose to get tutored on Monday and choose to workout one day that week for a scene with Alvin. The rest of the week can be focused on study and work.

9/8 – “Shrug it off” – This is essential for John’s friendship, one of the hardest routes to get! Then, at the next choice, “Accept the job.”

9/11 – “Joke with him and say ‘Yes.'” – Essential for the CG of Benito’s show, and increases his affection. The other guide tells you to play along for his affection, but that has no increase.

9/13 – Use any and all consumables you’ve bought EXCEPT Fatigue reducing ones. Sleep. This week, go to Pho 24 twice to bring your Fatigue back down.

9/15 – While that other guide tells you to “Ask about his girlfriend” for Nicole’s path or “Ask about the mall” for Matthew’s path, the choice here really doesn’t matter. The former leans more toward Nicole’s path while the latter more towards Matthew’s path, but the real defining moment for getting on either of their paths comes at Halloween, so you could even choose to “Keep working” here. Personal preference.

9/20 – Check email, accept Dale’s job offer.

9/27 – Check email, accept Ben’s job offer.

Approximately 9/28 – If you’ve gone to Cafe Diem even once to study there while also studying at least once a week (with the exception of the first week), Alvin should tell you about VG zone now. If not, he will in the next week or so.

10/2 – Either option works. “Flirt with him” increases his affection, but the fun thing about Benito’s path is that it only becomes set on the ending based on your affection with him at the ending (and potentially on your responses at other times, such as Valentine’s), so as long as you reach two hearts of affection with him by 1/10, you’ll get on his path. As such, feel free to choose whatever here.

Once you’ve got VG Zone unlocked, go visit it some time, either during the week (but not on Mondays) or the weekend, and choose to “Accept the tokens from him.” The next time you get tutored (was 10/5 for me when making this guide, but has happened later) – “Agree to it” for a scene with an Alvin CG the next time you get tutored (again, comes later for me usually, but this time around, the next opportunity for tutoring was 10/19 due to the Vice/Versus event on 10/12). When that scene occurs, I think either option is acceptable, but “Tell him all is forgiven” is the more preferred one according to KoshkaOFC. I can see this as Alvin doesn’t do well with teasing.

10/25 – This is the cutoff point for the common route, so make a separate save here BEFORE responding to emails.

Adam’s Paths

Stats: Fitness (Primary), Intelligence (Secondary). Since Intelligence raises just by attending classes, focus primarily on Exercise (work at least once a week to still have money). Go to Pho 24 on Fridays and hang out with him every weekend.
Clothing Preferences: Ghost costume for Halloween, clothes that are specifically Cool.
Gifts: You should have already given him the ukulele for his birthday. For either his friendship or romance route, give him the keyboard from ??? for Christmas. Otherwise just give him the puzzle cube from Brains and Puzzles for Christmas to get an Intelligence book to help out with other routes. You can also give him it for Valentine’s if on romance route.
Foods: Turkey and Pesto Sandwich and Chocolate Croissants from Cafe Diem, S’Mores when you can make cupcakes.
Movies: High Octane, Moonlight Avenger
Games: Dance Dance Substitution, Road Racing Warriors

10/25 – Call Adam up and ask him out. You have some work to get caught back up on from missing his preferred choices in a couple of spots.

10/26 – Head to the mall, buy the Ghost costume. Don’t buy any other clothes! The keyboard costs $310, and you won’t be having much money in the future now thanks to your focus on Fitness.

10/31 – Go to the School Halloween Festival. Wear the ghost costume.

The first time you work during the next week will result in a choice of Staying or Calling Adam. Call Adam for the ride. I recommend buying the keyboard this week. If you have the money available, get a set of Cool clothes (the hoodie, sweats, and tennis shoes). Once you get to about 2 1/2 hearts, stop calling him up. You want to be at exactly 3 hearts on 1/15. This is the trickiest part, as any less than 3 hearts on that date and you get friends, anything over 3 hearts and you get a romance route (but not necessarily the actual romance ending), even if you try to go friends. If you’re going for a specific route of his, keep this in mind.

Also, per @Fibjean in reference to CG 5 (the Christmas concert): “You should be able to get it on any route, as long as you don’t accept any jobs during the month of December. At some point in the week of 12/14-12/18 (the last week of classes before christmas), you need to choose to study. Adam should come to your room while you’re studying and ask you to be the makeup artist for a concert he plans to give on campus. “Agree to go” and “Adam’s Concert” will be scheduled in for the following Thursday (Christmas Eve).”

And that is absolutely correct. The Christmas Concert CG event shows up if you haven’t accepted Dale’s or Benito’s jobs in December. So…

Week of 12/14-12/18 – Study one of those days. When Adam shows up, “Agree to go” for a CG.

12/25 – Give Adam the keyboard. You’ll know if you’re at the right point for this based on his reaction. If he’s hesitant, you’ll only get friends route. If he remarks that you’re amazing, you’re at the perfect balance point (exactly 3 hearts) or possibly over.

1/9 – This is the date you will know for sure if you’ve hit onto Adam’s route. You should be there just fine by now, and you will go check on him in his room. If you get to this point, here is where his friendship and romance routes split, or rather, soon after this. Don’t go out with him this weekend unless you’re still below 3 hearts, and instead go do whatever. Probably sleep. Make a save here as well, so you can change clothes for the romance CG variations.

1/15 – Aquarium trip. This will be your split point for romance and friendship paths if you have a full 3 hearts, otherwise it just becomes a friends path. “Say you understand him” if going friends route, “Confess that you love him” for romance. If romancing, the CG that pops up here has seven variations, one for each top (including your work outfit). From this point forward, if you’re going friend route, stop asking him out on weekends. If going romance, keep asking him out until you max his affection.

1/26 – “Stop to hang out with him” for romance route, or “Invite him to join you” for friends route.

Approximately 2/2 – Snow scene. “Spend a little longer outside” results in a CG, but is friends route (either no change or minor loss of affection). “Go play in it” increases affection, and thus is for romance route.

I say approximately, because I’ve had a few variations of this week on my tries, and sometimes not had it show at all (like my most recent romance run). Sometimes he doesn’t show up on the 2nd, and on the 3rd shows up asking me to hang out but gets automatically blown off in favor of work, and then snow scene doesn’t happen until 3/11. Not sure what causes it here, but I think it’s tied to working out (as most of his scenes from her on seem to be, such as the vocal break that happens later), though beyond that I can’t say for sure.

2/14 – Give him something (I usually go with the puzzle cube) if on romance route to get Valentine’s CG. If you don’t have a gift for him, the CG doesn’t happen (unlike the birthday CG coming up)

3/22 – “Encourage him by saying it’ll get better” for friendship, “Sympathize with his situation” for romance (and a CG).

Approximately 4/6 – “Order a triple-shot” for romance, “Order something healthier” for friends.

4/20 – “Let Adam handle it” romance, “Try to help” friendship.

6/14 – “Say they’re the same” for romance, “Say it’s not the same” for friends.

6/21 – “Invite him to do homework with you” romance, “Let him hang out” friends.

John’s Paths

Stats: Fashion primary, Fitness secondary.
Clothing preferences: Renaissance dress on Halloween. Classy clothes.
Gifts:The only time you can gift John is his birthday. On romance route, give him black truffles from ???, on friends route, give him the silk tie from ??? (and get the pocket watch for Lloyd’s birthday a month later). John’s birthday is 6/7 and Lloyd’s is 7/1.
Foods: Scones and Spinach Salad at Cafe Diem, Dark Forest and Fruit Smoothie cupcakes. Do not give Valentine’s cupcake.
Movies: The Argonauts, Witch Hunters
Games: Dance Dance Substitution, Road Racing Warriors

Starting with 10/25, continue calling Lloyd every weekend. Also, call John every weekend. Once you’ve gone on a two dates with both of them (Lloyd likes Chocolate Croissant and the Turkey and Pesto Sandwich, get the Scones on dates with John if going friendship), you need to decide if you will be doing John’s friendship or romance path, as the cutoff for this difference is very specific and must be decided early. If going on friends path, go on your dates with John in your work clothes, always. You want to keep his affection at just over 2 hearts, no more than that.

If friendship, stop going on dates with either until AFTER 1/10. On 1/10, you will see a scene telling you which path you’re on. If Lloyd asks you to help out more on Vice/Versus then runs off, leaving you with John, Sian will ask John out and this will begin the romance. The friendship route is signified by Lloyd going off and John asking you to help out more. Once on this route, you will need to date Lloyd most weeks, with one date with John per month, only getting scones at Cafe Diem. This will bring his affection down but keep his friendship (a hidden stat) high.

For reference, most of John’s interactions occur at work, so I will list rough week periods rather than a specific date. These dates are assuming that you work at least once a week (and you should be working more than that until you get your fashion up).

10/31 – Go to the cast and crew party, wear the renaissance dress.

Week of 11/1-11/5 – First time you go to work, “Spend the night” (either route).

Week of 12/14-12/18 – “Ask if he’s ok” for friends path, “Get to work” for romance. Alternately, you can take “ask if he’s ok” either path and just date him more for romance, but with as finicky as his paths are, I find it best to play it safe. Though is romance is FAR easier to get.

1/10 – This is the day you will know what path you have hit on. You need just above 2 hearts of affection for friends path, anything less will go independent path, anything more will be romance. You may need to finagle it a bit to date John twice (getting scones both times) and/or wear a classy outfit on your date(s), but your food MUST be the scones if going friendship. My most recent play through, I got it with 2 dates wearing the classy outfit, plus 3 dates with Lloyd.

Once you get onto either of his routes, there is only one more conversation pick that affects relationship at all, and it only appears on the romance route. This is the moment when he is reading his lines and asks “do you find that sort of thing interesting?” For a CG, tell him that it could be fun. Likewise, for his birthday, on the romance route, give him the truffles for another CG.

Benito’s Paths

Stats: Intelligence (Primary), Charisma (Secondary).
Clothing Preferences: No costume for Halloween. Cute clothes.
Gifts: Black Deck from ??? (both routes, likely Christmas friends, birthday for romance). eReader from Brains and Puzzles (romance route only, give on Christmas if possible for a CG later, otherwise his birthday as it’s expensive). Microphone from GameGo works for his birthday as well if on friends route.
Foods: Chocolate Croissant and the Cranberry and Chocolate Scones from Cafe Diem. S’mores cupcakes.
Movies: High Octane, Moonlight Avenger
Games: None. Ben won’t go to the arcade with you on a date (but you can visit him there at work every day but Wednesday, which works out better).

The nice thing about Benito’s path is you really only need to focus on one stat: Charisma. You’re in class about five days a week, so as long as you don’t overwork yourself, Intelligence will max itself out by about March or April. That being said, I still suggest Exercising regularly for the reduced Fatigue hits from doing everything once you get Fitness to 250, and Working from time to time. Otherwise, you will be very poor on this route. That being said, you can wait until after officially unlocking his route on 1/10 to work on Charisma beyond about 75-100, and instead focus on making money and building your Fitness up, as the eReader isn’t cheap.

The other nice thing about his route, one that he shares with Matthew, is that both of his paths are identical, start to finish, and the ending is determined by your affection with him. However, as with Matthew, certain CGs only show up with higher levels of affection, and thus are more romance specific.

10/25 – Accept both job offers. Visit Benito at VG zone again and tell him “I wanted to see you.”

You’re going to be visiting him every Monday, Tuesday, and Weekend for the next couple weeks, until he invites you to join him at Cafe Diem. Make sure it’s an actual date set up (“Want to meet up at Cafe Diem next Wednesday?” after Sian apologizes for bugging him at work all the time) and not just him telling you he’s always there on Wednesdays. It can take anywhere from 2-10 visits for this to happen, and is likely attached to his affection rating (I got it at about 1-1.5 hearts). f you want to romance him, also go visit him at Cafe Diem every Wednesday from here on out. Once you have the date set up with him, you can stop visiting him at work for friends route, as you should be able to get onto his route from there.

Once you get this date set up with him, save your game the weekend before. There’s a CG in this date (“Ask Benito to show a trick.”) that has eight variants based on all of the possible tops available in Autumn (including your work outfit and the skirt/sweater combo you start with). If you want all of the variants, go to the Divide, buy all of the tops/outfits, make another save after (but before selecting what to wear) and use that to reload back to to shift through all the buyable outfits, then come back to the first save here and go through with just the work clothes/sweater you start with. Money is tight enough on his route that we don’t need any clothes until winter when we’re set on his route, and even then only if going for romance.

12/6 – Do NOT accept the job that Dale offers. Doing so will prevent you from getting onto Benito’s routes, and these are the only endings where you don’t do so.

12/13 – Accept Benito’s job offer.

12/18 – “Agree to hang out.”

12/24 – Give him the Black Deck for friends, eReader for romance (it usually has to be now and not his birthday for a certain scene to unlock later, but can sometimes work from birthdat). For romance, “Suggest a different activity you can do together.” For friends (and a CG), “Suggest he sled down the hill alone.”

1/10 – If Benito invites you to Cafe Diem and suggests working together on your blogs, you’ve got set on his path.

Sometime after this point, if you visit him at his job (VG Zone), you’ll get a scene involving a water main busting and you go to his place afterwards. This scene is essential to get a CG later. It may not happen if you don’t give him the eReader.

1/13 – This one is pretty obvious. “Say it’s just friendship” for friends path, “Admit there might be attraction” for romance. This is where I made a separate save from the common route one for the division of Ben’s paths.

2/14 – Again, pretty obvious. “It’s romantic” for romance route and a CG, “No… just a friendly hello” for friends.

3/17 – “Ask why he still hangs around the coffee shop” for romance, “Ask if the hotel job has yielded any more work” for friends.

4/10 – Benito’s birthday. Bring him the eReader/Black Deck for romance route (whichever you didn’t give him already), Microphone for friends.

6/26 – If you gave him the eReader already (which can be done at Christmas if you like, his reaction then differs on your affection level), then get a scene at his apartment with him doing a fitness app on it, resulting in a CG. Happened for me on a friends run with 3 hearts of affection.

7/11 – Accept the renfaire job with Benito.

8/1 – Save here for the romance path (or go to the Divide on 8/6 and save before selecting your outfit) as the romance path has several variations based on tops AND bottoms (for certain tops) so if you want all the variants, get all the tops and bottoms (I hope you’ve still been working) and save scum that CG! If I remember correctly, it’s something like 11 variants with

Matthew’s Paths

Stats: Charisma (Primary), Fashion (Secondary).
Clothing Preferences: Vampire Hunter costume for Halloween. Current fashion for clothes (check the “Anyone into fashion?” message board each weekend, or check out my Consumables guide here as well.
Gifts: Oil Paint Set from ??? (recommend only giving to him for romance path). Otherwise, the board game from Brains and Puzzles or the DSP from GameGo are good picks.
Food: Turkey and Pesto Sandwich and Cranberry and White Chocolate Scones at Cafe Diem. German Chocolate cupcakes. Do NOT give him either The King or the Chocolate Peanutbutter cupcakes, as he is allergic to peanuts.
Movies: High Octane, Night Witches.
Games: Dance Dance Substitution, Super Lucky Chance Machine!

While doing a romance path for Matthew, if you also spend time with Nicole and build her affection high enough, you’ll unlock an extra scene with Matthew for a CG.

Picking up from the common route at 10/25:

10/25 – Accept Dale’s job offer, do not accept S.K.’s job offer.

10/26 – Go to the mall (you can choose to do something else this day, the mall is a free option between class and afternoon) and buy the Vampire Hunter costume.

10/31 – Attend the Midnight Cosmetics event, wear the vampire hunter costume.

After this event, the next time you go to the mall, Matt will give you his number. Like Benito, Matt’s romance/friendship paths are the same, differing only by level of affection. However, if you want a specific CG with him later on that is missable if you wait too long to start dating him and you want his romance path, then get some fashionable clothes and begin dating him every weekend. I think you need to have it all maxed out by early spring for the CG, but have not been able to confirm.

12/6 – Accept Dale’s job offer. This is the Christmas Eve event.

12/24 – Bring Matthew a gift. For romance, give him the Oil Paint Set from ???. For friendship, give him the board game from Brains and Puzzles.

After this point, if you want to just be his friend, do whatever else you like on weekends, but don’t ask him on dates. If you want the romance, start wearing fashionable clothes and ask him out every weekend.

1/10 – You’ll know your on his path when you meet with Madeline, Matthew, and Dale, and are asked to be Matthew’s exclusive makeup artist.

2/14 – Valentine’s Day with Matthew. “Order the spicy soup” for CG but a loss of affection (i.e. friends path), “Order something milder for him” for romance path.

3/4 – Sian’s birthday, Matthew takes you to the art museum. “Wander around the museum” for friends, “Ask Matthew to guide you” for romance and a CG.

3/26 – “Agree to go with him” for romance and a CG. If taking friendship path, take whichever you like.

About 5/2 – On a play through specifically about trying to get the scene for it where I went out with Nicole twice for every one time I went out with Matthew, at about this time, whenever I went to the mall, I would get a scene with Nicole asking me to meet up with her for a makeup sampling date at their place. A couple days later (she says Friday but it actually happened for me on Tuesday), you meet up at their place, she leaves, and you get a CG scene with Matt. I got this scene twice in a single play through, all before his birthday, so it appears to be bugged as of the 1.0e update.

6/25 – Matthew’s birthday. I usually bring him a DSP on either route.

6/28 – On romance route, I got the kitten scene (CG 10), having fully maxed out affection already. I’ll have to try again to confirm, but if you’ve got max affection with him, gave him paints at Christmas and the DSP at his birthday, you should hopefully get it too.

Update: It does seem to be tied to affection rating. I’m still not sure if max affection is needed or not, but by this late in the game, if you’re romancing him, you should already be at maxed affection.

7/11 – Confirm your address to get the renfaire tickets and a CG with Matthew the following weekend.

After this, it doesn’t matter what you pick/do, as you should either have him maxed out (if romance), or be ignoring him (for friends). You’ll get a CG with him on 7/30 if you gave him the paints, and the ending will come on 8/7

Lloyd’s Path

Stats: Fashion, Charisma
Clothing preferences: Fairy costume on Halloween. No preference for clothes on dates.
Gifts:The only time you can gift Lloyd is on his birthday no 7/1. The gift he seems to enjoy the most is the pocket watch from ???
Foods: Chocolate Croissants and Turkey and Pesto Sandwich at Cafe Diem, Dark Forest cupcakes.
Movies: High Octane, The Argonauts, Witch Hunters, Machete Man
Games: Zombie Hunter III, Road Racing Warriors

Lloyd’s route is surprisingly easy. There are very few critical decision points, as it basically boils down to asking him out every weekend. In essence, the playing through it is almost exactly like playing through John’s friendship, except ignoring John even more, and being much easier to get the proper ending. You participate in both John’s and Lloyd’s birthdays on both paths, both result in you working over the summer, and both involve going on lots of dates with Lloyd. The differences come in the in-between scenes, many of which are variations on existing scenes in other paths, or lack any form of choice but are there for flavor.

10/25 – Accept Dale’s job offer. The next day, when prompted to go to the mall, buy the Fairy costume.

10/31 – Head to the cast and crew party wearing the fairy costume.

12/6 – Accept Dale’s job offer.

12/13 – Accept Ben’s job offer.

1/10 – You’ll know you’re on Lloyd’s path when you have lunch with him and John and John leaves to pay, leaving Lloyd to ask you to be his co-producer.

2/10 – New scene. Lloyd comes to visit you on campus. I’m not sure which affects his affection more, but “Offer Lloyd a tour” is more of a scene (no CG) than the other, so I like picking it. Not everyone will get this scene on this date, and some people, such as Vitamin H have reported having it happen as late as 8/4. I’m not sure what exactly causes this scene to appear when it does, but I’ve gotten it on 2/10 on multiple attempts.

3/24 – “Ask Lloyd for advice.”

5/28 – You need to have approximately 250 Fashion (I got it to trigger with 249, and it may be as low as 220 or so) by this date in order to win an award and continue on Lloyd’s path. Afterwards, “Agree to go.”

6/7 – John’s birthday. Bring him the tie, or to be funny, bring him the Knight figurine. Both are found at ???.

7/1 – Lloyd’s birthday, bring him the pocket watch.

7/11 – Accept the renfaire tickets via email.

7/18 – Wear the fairy costume to renfaire.

Nicole’s Path

Stats: Fashion, Fitness
Clothing preferences: Mermaid costume on Halloween. Fashionable clothes.
Gifts:The only time you can gift Nicole is on Valentines. The quintessential gift for her is the flower hair pin from ???, but choosing to give her something else will alter one CG late in her story (the one used for this section) AND prevent you from getting the full ending (with its CG), so is recommended on second runs through her story if you want to get all CG variants.
Foods: Cranberry and White Chocolate Scones and Spinach and Feta Salad at Cafe Diem, Fruit Smoothie cupcakes. Do NOT give her either The King or the Chocolate Peanutbutter cupcakes, as she is allergic to peanuts.
Movies: The Funny Thing About Love, The Argonauts, Witch Hunters, Machete Man
Games: Zombie Hunter III

Not gonna lie, Nicole’s route is my absolute favorite. Not just because I’m a lady-loving lady either, she’s just such a wonderful character. And the first time you play Zombie Hunter III with her is so sweet/romantic, which perfectly describes her entire route.

10/25 – Accept Dale’s job offer.

10/26 – Buy the Mermaid costume when prompted to go to the Mall.

10/31 – Attend the Midnight Cosmetics Event wearing the Mermaid costume. The next time you go to the mall, you will receive Nicole’s number. Begin asking her out on dates (she won’t go out with you until 11/15 though).

12/6 – Accept Dale’s job offer for Christmas Eve.

During the month of December, you need to visit the mall twice for scenes with Nicole, both of which must be before Christmas. The first time, you will find her working there, and need to select “Try to comfort her.” The second time, she’ll be shopping, and you need to select “Do you mind if I come with you? We can shop together!” for another CG.

1/10 – You’ll know you’re on Nicole’s path because you meet her at the mall and she asks you to be her fitness buddy. Sometime after this point, when you choose to exercise, you’ll get a scene with her where she admits to being attracted to Sian (happened on 1/14 for me on most recent play). I thought the last chance for this was 2/14, but @Ava (a.k.a. Naomi) informed me that she got the scene on 2/20. It is most likely tied to your stats.

1/17 – “Suggest Nicole for the part” – increases affection and nets a CG.

2/14 – Mall crawl with Nicole. Bring her the Hairpin from ??? to unlock the full romance (essential to get the actual ending), but on a second play through of her route, you may opt to not give it to her for a variant CG.

2/21 – Accept Nicole’s job offer email.

2/25 – “Say you’ll do it.” This whole event (which occurs over a period of about 3 weeks) plays out differently when you’re on her route from when on other routes.

Sometime after running into Allison at the mall and unlocking GameGo, you’ll run into her at the mall again, but will also run into Nicole as well. This usually happens for me around the time that spring outfits show up at The Divide. You obviously want to pick “Go to The Divide with Nicole.”

5/30 – Respond to Nicole’s email telling her that you’ll be there.

6/25 – Matt’s birthday.

6/27 – Accept Dale’s job offer.

7/11 – Respond to survey email for renfaire tickets.

7/27 – Photoshoot with Nicole. “Say you’re nervous too.” for an extra CG (this is the one that changes based on whether you gave her the hairpin back on Valentines or not).

Alvin’s Path

Stats: Intelligence, GPA (to a point, once you get above 3.0 it matters far less), beyond that, it’s not necessary to max anything else out, so you may as well balance all of them.
Clothing preferences: Magical Girl costume on Halloween. No preference for dates.
Gifts:Can give him either the Knight Figurine from ??? or the Midnight Avenger Special Edition from Books and Puzzles, though he seems to like the figurine more.
Foods: Spinach and Feta Salad and Turkey and Pesto Sandwich at Cafe Diem. You can’t give him cupcakes, so don’t even bother making any on his path.
Movies: The Argonauts, Midnight Avenger. However, he will make reviews on the movie theater message board whenever taking him to see a movie, the most humorous of all occurs after taking him to see The Funny Thing About Love for the third time.
Games: Zombie Hunter III, Road Racing Warriors

Alvin’s path is really sweet, as he’s an asexual struggling with his feelings for Sian and the societal expectations of what he should want with her versus what he actually wants. And he’s totally adorkable as well. He has a number of approximate dates for events because it is based on your stats, so the dates I list are the ones I got. These will almost always be Mondays and will always happen in the order I’m giving here. I’ve seen these events happen a week or two earlier, and seen them happen later as well.

10/25 – Accept Dale’s job offer, but not S.K.’s. The next day, when prompted, go buy the Magical Girl costume (which is sadly the most expensive one). Also, I suggest getting one of the other costumes (except for ghost) to wear to renfaire late in the game, as Alvin wil remark on whether you wear something or not.

Approximately 10/26 – “Agree to it.”

10/31 – Go to school Halloween festival wearing the magical girl costume. Assuming you have intelligence at about 100 (it can be a little lower) and a GPA over 3.0 at this point, you should see a CG with him.

Approximately 11/2 – Either choice seems to work, though “Tell him all is forgiven” seems to be the better choice.

Approximately 11/9 – Receive Alvin’s phone number. From this point on, you must date him every weekend until 1/10 to unlock his path, as only a few dates is not enough.

12/6 – Accept Dale’s job.

12/13 – Accept Ben’s job.

12/21 – Bring either of the two gifts for him (depending on your money situation, I’m usually poor and need to go with the Midnight Avenger Special Edition) to tutoring with him.

1/9 – You’ll know you’ve hit onto Alvin’s path when he invites you to Cafe Diem and asks you to be a tutor with him. To continue on his path, “Accept the tutoring job.”

Approximately 2/10 – Upon swinging by Books and Puzzles, you run into a scene with Alvin. I don’t think either choice matters, but I prefer “Say you need to read the series for yourself.” This leads to him buying you a copy of the book and comes up again in a later discussion.

Approximately 2/23 – The next time you visit GameGo (after the first), you’ll run into Alvin again.

7/5 – Alvin’s birthday, bring him the gift you didn’t give him for Christmas (was the statue for me).

7/11 – Accept your renfaire tickets.

7/18 – Go to the renfaire with Alvin, wearing a costume of some sort (it won’t let you wear ghost or magical girl costumes, but everything else is open game).

8/1 – If you want to get every variant of his ending, you’ll need to buy every top and 3 different bottoms (the two classy skirts and one other), as his ending has 11 variants based on the combinations of these outfits, much like Ben’s romance ending.

Independent Paths

This section will cover the last four endings. Much as with Ben and Matt, these ones are all initiated in the same way, and only differ at the end by a few small changes made throughout the rest of the game. Your primary stats for these routes will be Charisma and Fashion, but you’ll want to keep Fitness up as well. I generally try to keep them balanced, and use a 1/2/2 schedule during the week of Exercise, Blogging, and Fashion, alternating between Exercise and Blogging which one will be done twice. For those looking for one specific ending, let me list what the important aspects for each of the endings are,

Blogger: 300 Charisma/Popularity, high affection with Matt, own a webcam, have about 300+ views per day on your blog (regular hits, not video hits, I tried with a number of variations, and ended up getting it only on a case where my last weekend had 324 video/288 regular hits and I blogged all 5 days of the last week).
Producer: 300 Charisma/Fashion, help Rachel with her script at every opportunity, do Ben’s show production yourself, only getting advice from Lloyd.
Famous: Win the awards, take the Makeup Mayhem job, choose the one they tell you to choose.
Alone: Fail to get one of these other three in some way.

That said, I’ll pick back up from 10/25 as with the rest, and will note special dates for each route. Until you’re officially on the independent route on 1/10, don’t go on dates with anyone, even if you’re trying for the blogger ending (as you don’t want to end up on Matt’s route inadvertently). In fact, it’s possible to make your save late in the game (around mid-to-late April, once Rachel emails you her script), and make a save there for the diverging paths. If doing that, you’ll want to make sure you become good friends with Matt.

10/25 – Accept both jobs. Money is always handy, and this prevents you from getting the Halloween lock in for any route other than Ben’s (his locks in at Christmas Eve).

11/26 – Not sure if it matters any, but I suggest selecting “Work in the industry” if trying for any of the endings other than Alone.

12/6 – Accept Dale’s job offer.

12/13 – Accept Ben’s job offer.

12/19 – When Adam takes you shopping, make sure to get the Board Game for Matt (and I usually get the Puzzle Cube for Adam as well).

12/24 – Bring the Board Game for Matt.

1/10 – You’ll know you’re on the independent path when absolutely nothing happens. Save your game to be sure, or just to have a point to come back to. If doing blogger ending, go shopping for fashionable clothes and you should get Matt’s number and be able to begin asking him out every weekend.

1/21 – If going Producers route, “Ask to look at the script.”

Week of 2/8-2/12 – I recommend Working once early in the week (I usually do so on Monday or Tuesday) and then going into town pretty much every other day this week. What you’re looking for is going to the mall every day until Allison tells you about GameGo (it may take a few tries, if you haven’t received Matt’s number yet), then go to GameGo and buy all of the consumables you can. The webcam is essential for Blogger route.

2/21 – Accept Nicole’s job offer. If you’re going Blogger, and potentially even if not, go into blog settings at your computer and set all posts to video.

2/25 – “Say you’ll do it.”

3/17 – I prefer to stick to the professional here and “Ask if the hotel job has yielded any more work.” May or may not matter, but unless I’m trying to date Ben, I always pick that one.

3/24 – I know this choice matters for Production ending, and I take it almost every other route as well. “Ask Lloyd for advice.” If you ask him to assist, you CANNOT get the production ending.

From about 4/18 on (Producers route) – When going to Cafe Diem, you should run into Rachel, and she will tell you about her writing. She will email you her script. If you’re doing this as a common route for all the independent paths, save here, and reply for producer but ignore it for the other paths. Producers will need to meet her at Cafe Diem one more time, whenever it works for you. Once you have done so, you will be locked onto producer path UNLESS you do something that alters it (I’ll point that out when it comes up shortly).

Approx 5/9-5/28 – If you got all of the consumables earlier from both Brains and Puzzles and from GameGo, then you should be at about 300 in all stats (except maybe popularity). If going for the blogger ending, you need to continue doing video blogs at least twice a week. Otherwise, as long as you don’t sleep during the week and lower your stats, you’re free to do whatever you want with your time after this point. I recommend still working at least once a week just to keep up with Vice/Versus story and things going on with the crew.

5/28 – Golden Televisions. I know for a fact that winning is essential for both Producers and Famous Artist endings. It helps with Blogger, but not sure if it’s essential. So if you haven’t got over 250 Fashion by now (and you should if you’ve been following this guide), go back and work more often.

6/6 – You will have an email from S.K. about doing Makeup Mayhem. You MUST accept this job for Famous Artist route, and it doesn’t hurt to do it for the others.

6/10 – If you accepted doing the Makeup Mayhem slot, this is a major spot for you. Famous Artist MUST “Agree to pick the second contestant.” Others should “Insist on awarding the first contestant.” It won’t necessarily knock you off of your path if doing the producer route, but it WILL do so for the other routes.

7/11 – Claim your renfaire tickets for a scene with Celina and Rachel (and Ben if you’ve done one of his routes already) the following weekend.

Matthew 8 is bugged and may show up multiple times in the course of a single play through.

Others 26 is in the game, but not. After you’ve achieved 100% completion of everything else, you will unlock Omake in the extras menu. You have to go through that whole bit (it’s not long), and it will unlock the final CG. So it’s in the game (as in the programming) but it will not show up ever during your play through.
