Overview
This is probably the best FPS results you can get! [also for battles!!]Tutorial is for NVIDIA CARDS (but will work for others aswell)
Tutorial
My first guide 😛
With this guide you can get the most available FPS boost in just 3 STEPS!
STEP 1:
Open the NVIDIA SETTTINGS, choose “FF4.exe” [1]. Scroll down to “Vertical Synchronisation” [2] and set it to “OFF” [3] (you can also disable it globally when you can’t wait to see the reesults…)
STEP 2:
Download “CheatEngine” (Freeware, should be allowed since this is a 100% OFFLINE game)
Install and open it! Choose your game [1] and mark the “Enable Speedhack” – box [2]
Then you can set your speed “multiplier” [3] (dont override it or your system may crash^^)
*I personally run the game at 100, <100 is still slow, >100 gets a slowdown aswell
STEP 3:
Delete the soundfile “SE101_06” (soundfile for/when an enemy vanishes after getting killed)
(Folder: ….SteamAppscommonFinal Fantasy IVEXTRACTED_DATAfilesSOUNDSE)
This is optional but even “CheatEngine” can’t skip this sound and waits in realtime (4-5secs)!
======================
This tutorial was made for the lazy guys (like me) who want level-up faster…
These settings above let a battle run 2-5 seconds (average “player/enemy” level + AUTO BATTLE)
You don’t realize anything! Start ballte, end battle, run around, start battle, end battle, run around!!
======================
You can even get more speed when you play in smaller resultions!! (and windowed)
But I play in FULL-SCREEN@1920×1080 and get a major FPS, probably over 300 FPS+…
======================
I would like to show a video, but I have FRAPS only and it causes major slowdown when recording in fullscreen (means: I can’t show the real ULTRA FPS)
But try yourself! It’s working perfect for me!
