Overview
Unfortunately, a lot of the actual music files played by the game are poorly compressed, and don’t sound their best.Luckily, I’ve made a set of replacement files that sound just like the originals, but in higher quality. This guide will show you how to install them.
A Description
While the actual audio files included in the Undertale directory may be of subpar quality, thankfully, the music sold in the game’s soundtrack has next to zero noticeable compression. As such, this “mod” is just the culmination of several hours spent in Audacity editing the soundtrack files to work in place of the original game files as faithfully as possible. See here for a comparison.
I should mention, while I was able to re-create the majority of the game’s music files, there were some I wasn’t able to remake to the standard I wanted, (or even at all for some of them) which is why there are a few not included in the download.
Instructions
All you have to do is download the .zip file, extract it, then paste the audio files inside into your Undertale folder, and hit “Replace all”. You should be able to get to it by going to Undertale in your games library, clicking the gear icon on the right side of the screen, mousing over “Manage”, then clicking “Browse local files”. I’ve included a short instructional video on the process.
You can get the files either from the link below, or the one in the video description.
Steam doesn’t allow me to just post a regular Mediafire link, make sure to replace the [dot].

If you find a problem with one of the files, please let me know so I can fix it.
Edit: Thanks everyone for the support! It’s awesome seeing something I put so much time into getting this much attention!
