Overview
A bit of an exploit to get through floors faster and make it less painful to try and get those achievements.
Using a torch as a key.
Eessentially that’s the premise. Use the torch as a key.
The thing here is, there’s nothing special needed. You just use your torch as a key. When approaching the key slot you normally hover over and press E To use a key, instead hold your torch out with Mouse 2 and you should be able to open it.
Note: I only tested this in Endless mode. I had the Blue Sword/Gladious equipped and tested with and without a shield and it worked both times.
However there is a few things to note. You should hold your torch before you step on the red placement before the key hole.
(Hard to see, but right should be able to tell the difference between the red and non red spaces)
So be sure to hold it out and walk up to the keyhole instead of just walking up and then finally holding out the torch as you’re rubbing up against the key hole.
Holding out the torch right after standing next to the keyhole for a few seconds results in it staying a gray/transparent color without unlocking.
Note: This isn’t a complete… level bypass as you still need to find the place in order to get out. So this could result in a great bypass or still.. result in a wandering around the dark for 3 minutes hoping to get the hell out and finally find it.
Won’t save you from that… lovely lady.
No, this will not save you from the absolute hell that is Medusa. She can still obviously get you and insta kill you before you even find the way out. Even on floor 14 before you leave. Like she did to me… that… amazing boss.
