Story Characters
These are the characters you will unlock as you play through the story.
- Beat – Unlocked at the beginning of the game.
- Power – 68/100
- Technique – 55/100
- Graffiti – 63/100
- Can Capacity – 20
- Gum – Finish all of her challenges. Unlocked at the beginning of the game.
- Power – 48/100
- Technique – 56/100
- Graffiti – 87/100
- Can Capacity – 15
- Tab – Finish all of his challenges. Unlocked at the beginning of the game.
- Power – 67/100
- Technique – 74/100
- Graffiti – 46/100
- Can Capacity – 30
- Garam – Complete the Monster of Kogane level and he will appear. Finish all of his challenges.

These are the characters that will take a little more work than the characters unlocked in story mode. Jet rankings achieved in a previous run will still count in a subsequent run.
- Poison Jam* – Achieve a JET rating for every one of the story levels including the Golden Rhino levels in Kogane-Cho.

- Noise Tanks* – Achieve a JET rating for every one of the story levels including the Golden Rhino levels in Benten-Cho.
- Power – 73/100

- Love Shockers* – Achieve a JET rating for every one of the story levels including the Golden Rhino levels in Shibuya-Cho.
- Power – 44/100

- Goji Rokkaku** – Achieve a JET rating for every one of the story levels in Grind City and complete the story once.

- Potts – With Poison Jam, Noise Tanks, Love Shockers and Goji Rokkaku unlocked, complete the Monster of Kogane level before Benten Boogie. After this, a Noise Tank will appear in Chapter 3 or after doing a mission in Grind Square. Complete his challenges and Potts will be a playable character when you return to the garage.

- Unmasked Poison Jam – Hold X when selecting Poison Jam in character select. (Holding the X key also works when using a keyboard)

*These characters will not appear in the garage and can be selected by the symbols that represent the gang.

Target points to obtain “Jet” ranking:
Shibuya GG – 33000
Love Trap – 41000
The Monster of Kogane – 30000
No. 540 – 33000
Kogane Circus – 29000
Benten Boogie – 44000
Graffiti High – 32000
Noise Reduction – 29000
Love Attack – 29000
Tag or Die (Bantam Street) – 40000
Rock’n Roll Gridn (Grind Square) – 50000
Explosion – 70000
Fight or Flight – 62000
Benten Burning – 50000
Behind the Mask – 30000
It’s important to realise that the rank is based entirely on score – the higher your score, the higher your rank. So everything you do should be focused on upping your score – that includes tricks and graffiti. In addition, it’s worth remembering that you score additional points at the end of a level:
1. Remaining Life x 30
2. Remaining Time x 30
3. Remaining Spray Cans x 100
4. If Remaining Life is 100% = 3000
