This guide will show you how to properly execute being a law enforcement officer for the UIPD

Getting Started as a Police Officer for UIPD

So first thing you want to do is join the discord: [link]
There is no “training” to become police, if you would like to learn how, contact someone higher up
Joining will assign you your first rank as **Officer**
Ranks and promotions vary based on your Reputation Points, Arrests, and tickets

Ranks and Divisions

This is the ranking structure for now, if you have any edits you would like to see, pm me

–Officer– New Officer
Req- Rep:0 Arrests:0 Tickets:0

–Officer First Class– Seasoned officer
Req- Rep:2,000 Arrests:10 Tickets:10

–Corporal– Team leader
Req- Rep:5,000 Arrests:25 Tickets:25 Approval from Lt.+

–Sergeant– Squad leader
Req- Rep:10,000 Arrests:50 Tickets:50 Approval from Cpt.+

–Lieutenant– Division officer
Req- Rep:10,000 Arrests:50 Tickets:50 Approval from Asst. Chief.+

–Captain– Division leader
Req- Rep:10,000 Arrests:50 Tickets:50 Approval from Chief.

Uniform– Basic division, uniformed officers, patrol

SWAT– Elite division, respond to armed calls, advanced training, deployment-based

Admin– Supervising division, work discord, promotions, and oversee department officers

Trainer– Division trainer, Instructs their own division

Command– Division recruiter and leader

Uniform Division Information

-Your job is to take care of day-to-day calls, stops, and tickets
-Patrol around in your uniform looking for any law violators and deal with them accordingly
-You may patrol with a partner
-You may patrol with any marked car you like
-If there are SWAT on the server, you may respond to gun calls but do not try to deal with them if they start shooting, take cover and wait for back-up to arrive, otherwise, deal with the call as you see fit

-Do your job correctly and you may earn yourself a promotion
-Ask a division command staff or trainer if you would like to join their division

SWAT Division Information

-Your job is to take care of high-stress situations, usually involving weapons
-Patrol around with your team or stay in the department until a call comes in
-You may patrol by yourself if there are less than 4 officers online
-Patrol must be done in a SUV
-Be ready to deploy at any time with your team, do your job and most importantly of all DO NOT GET YOURSELF OR YOUR TEAM KILLED

-Do your job correctly and you may earn yourself a promotion
-Ask a division command staff or trainer if you would like to join their division

Admin Division

-Your job is to take care of all the logistical things in the department as well as discord and steam
-Make sure all rules are up-to-date and everything is running smoothly
-You may act as a uniformed officer and supervisor whenever in game
-You can suggest promotions, demotions, and removals to any higher ups in other divisions
-If there are SWAT on the server, you may respond to gun calls but do not try to deal with them if they start shooting, take cover and wait for back-up to arrive, otherwise, deal with the call as you see fit

-Do your job correctly and you may earn yourself a promotion
-Ask a division command staff or trainer if you would like to join their division
