When refitting a ship you can change the amount of sailors, cannon chambers and cargo, but remember increasing or decreasing one value will affect another.

We encourage everyone to help our new sailors by giving them informative sites/links/guides. Let us help each other in discovering new things about our game.

The Bank Clerk (NPC)

This NPC is the most used NPC in UWO he has several duties and the most important task of keeping your ducats safe.

Don’t worry! You can trust him with your precious Ducats, so let’s go ahead and talk about him more.

Almost every town in UWO has a banker he can be identified by a large bag of ducats on your mini map. (Refer to the image above)

One you click the banker a mini box with options will appear let me explain what these options are for.

Deposit– This will allow you to Deposit the money you are currently carrying, the minimum amount of ducats you can deposit is 1,000D and the Bank Clerk can hold up to 1,000,000,000D

*Pirates who do not pay their bounty by carrying Ducats will have their Bounties automatically deducted from the Bank and given to the player that defeated them.

Interest* – After 30 days of sailing you will gain 0.5% interest with the amount of money you have deposited in the bank, the interest will not exceed 5,000D

Withdraw– With this option you will be able to take the money that you have deposited the minimum amount you can withdraw is 1,000D you character can hold up to 100,000,000 Ducats.

No Coverage will be given in the event you are attacked by another player or sunk by natural disasters

Vault– Upon reaching the court rank of 8th Knight you will be issued a bank vault with 3 slots you can store various items and equipment.

There are many ways to increase the slots such as attaining a higher court rank, speaking to the banker in Calicut, Purchasing additional space using NC etc.

Receive item – If you purchase items from the NC Treasure box the items you obtained will be located here, also items obtained from special codes redeemed at the website, and some event items if indicated

This section of the bank can only hold up to 50 categories of items, if you exceed 50 your items may not appear until you make more space, also items in the receive item section in the bank will expire after 1 year of not being claimed.

Quarters Information – Upgrade or improve your quarters (This will be discussed on a different section.)

Quarters Storage – Access the storage space in your quarters you can retrieve or deposit items with this function, a fee will be charged depending on the item(s).

Private Farm – Develop, retrieve or stock items for your private farm (This will be discussed on a different section.)

And that’s about it for the Bank Clerk if there are any additional information you wish to add feel free to comment below.

Cheque handling

The “Tierra Americana” update introduced a new feature where players can carry more ducats to help with purchases or trade between players that would ammount more than the maximum ammount of ducats they could carry, this feature was the item called Cheque.

At first the system may confuse you, but it’s really simple.

A few things know about Cheques.

1.) To use this feature you must first have a total of 10,000 Fame

2.) Cheques cannot be lost when shipwrecked

3.) It cannot be plundered by both NPCs and Players

4.) It cannot be sold in the Bazaar, company shop, it cannot be stored in the vault, quarter’s storage or the captains bag, cheques can only be traded.

5.) If a pirate is defeated and he is currently not carrying any ducats his bounty will be deducted from his cheques.

6.) Cheques have a fee 500,000 Ducats for 10Million cheques and 5,000,000 Ducats for 100 Million cheques.

*When making 100 Million cheques make sure that you have 5,000,000 ducats or more in addition to the 100 Million deposited on your bank account.

How to cash a cheque

Refer to the image above it shows that there are 3 Cheques in possession for 10 Million, click on the “Change” button.

This box will appear (shown above) and show the number 3 that is the amount currently in possession changing it to 2 will cash 1 check if you wish to cash all off them put 0.

How to make a cheque

Similar to the above except this time when the box appears with the number 3 put 4 instead this will make and additional 1 cheque if you want to make more you can put any number above 3 just make sure you have enough ducats to make the number of cheques you want.

I hope you find this guide simple and easy to understand, if not leave a comment below and point out which part you don’t understand.
