Overview
The base idea behind this build is to go fast with Soul Warp and never use “wasd” to walk.
How the build works
The core of the build lies in “Darkwalkers” boots with a “Warped Banes” rune. That combo makes it so you can use your “Soul Warp” infinitely on cooldown and get souls while doing so. That’s why cooldown reduction is so important along with some attack speed to make full use of the speed that “Soul Warp” provides.
This build deals damage through “Desecrator’s Raiment” set bonus, which is also how the build survives.
Closer look at the gear
The 4 piece set bonus is crucial to this build working and not dying, so the only freedom here is rune choices. Set bonus mostly works with “desecration” from the “Reaper” tree, which is triggered from bone spear, which is in turn being cast by “Warped Banes” rune on boots.
Weyrick’s Crown GR: this rune was chosen mostly for life it provides.
Elementium GR: Has a great synergy with “Hearthstone” and is pretty crucial if you want to go with that accessory.
Jon’s Book of Souls LR: Was used mostly with “Ritual of Souls”, but now that I switched to “Ritual of Banes” I’m considering swapping this LR, since the only thing I get from more souls is some “masochism stacks” which just give me some damage.
Reaping LR: Pretty necessary for single target damage, mostly bosses (makes them actually trivial), and sometimes helps against some thick crowned foes.
These boots along with the run on them are a must have, it’s what makes this build work.
I chose “Hearthstone” because it seemed like a good fit with the set bonus, since it heals for a % of your health and gives a shield, which is also % based.
Heart of the Forest GR: This rune isn’t exactly a must have, but it boosts both damage and survive ability, since you get healed for 1% (before amplifications) and you get damage stacked up every time you hit an enemy, which means more hits = more everything.
Set: “All For One” was basically chosen for lack of a better option, it works just fine, but nothing crucial or amazing, so it might change at some point.
Kingsrock LR: This rune, unlike the ring that it’s on is essential because it helps a lot with cooldown reduction that I get mostly from socketed gems.
Star of The Pure LR: Will probably get replaced, I don’t know by what just yet, it’s nice to help you survive, because the barrier from the main set has a 100% uptime, but I feel like I might have missed a better option for an amulet rune.
Skill Tree
Nothing interesting here, besides some attack speed (infection is basically wasted points that have no other useful place to go)
Besides “Soul Warp”
and “Frozen Veil”
you basically just need to dump enough points to get to the “Lich Form”
ultimate (which provides some much needed cooldown reduction).
Nothing useful besides damage reduction and health.
The tree is pretty self explanatory I think, but the only reason I have “Bone Scythe”
is because I want to put it on the hotbar, for some more damage reduction from “Ritual of Banes”
Stats
This is the cooldown that I have while using “Lich Form”.
Misc
Probably worth noting, that the build isn’t “stuck” yet on any particular anomaly tier. Right now I got to tier 74, I have an occasional death (no more than 1 per anomaly),usually the death is a result of me not paying attention, the way the build plays, you can always kill mobs slower for some extra safety, but so far I don’t feel that it’s necessary. Bosses are a joke with “Reaping” rune, so the only danger are some crowned enemies. I will make some updates as I climb to further anomaly tiers or get stuck.
Feel free to correct me or make build improvements suggestions, I probably missed some stuff that would help me, so far, I feel like my tree is the least optimised part of the build.
