Overview

What’s new in Stardew Valley have ‘update 1.3’ Have The Co-op menu for multiplayer. Have a new building. Horses can wear hats. An Auto-Grabber that automatically harvests from cows, sheep, and goats. You can buy it at Marnie’s Ranch. You can change your profession (skill) at “Statue of Uncertainty” in the sewers for 10,000 g. Have New Night Market. Three new fish. Have New Event. Have Secret Note.

Co-op menu (Multiplayer)

How do I invite people to my farm?

There are a few ways for people to come to your farm.

If you are starting a new farm, you can start the game with cabins already built on your farm. From the title screen, open the co-op menu, select the ‘Host’ tab, and then ‘Host New Farm.’
The new options on the left allow you to pre-build up to three cabins on your farm.

In the settings menu in ‘Host’ are some new options you may want to play with:

Server Mode :

With Friends-Only , only people on your friends list in Steam can see your server and join it.
If your server is set to ‘Friends-Only’ and your Steam privacy settings permit friends to see your game library, they will be able to join your game through their friends list.

With Invite-Only , only people you send invitations (or invite codes) to will be able to join your server.
If you’re host, you can send invitations from the settings menu, using the ‘Invite Friend…’ button. When the recipient accepts your invitation it will automatically launch Stardew Valley on their end and connect to your game.
If the person you want to invite is not on your friends list, you can invite them using an invite code.

Offline shuts the server down immediately. This will disconnect all players besides yourself.
‘Accept IP connections’ allows players on your LAN to join your game. You must both be on the same network (the same router).

Enable new character creation allows players who connect to your server to create a new character on your farm. If you’ve got more cabins than players on your farm, and you don’t want anyone else to join for now, you can turn this off

New event

A Winter Mystery event

“A Winter Mystery”: Sent by mail the day after triggering a cutscene by entering the Bus Stop from the Farm during Winter between 6am and 4pm. To complete the quest, interact with a bush to the left of the Community Center in the north of Pelican Town. A cutscene ensues, during which a “Shadow Guy” (who is most likely Krobus) gives the player a Magnifying Glass. This allows the player to collect Secret Notes.

Willy 6 Hearts event

Enter The Beach between 6am and 5:10pm.
Willy greets you outside the Fish Shop. He says he needs your help, and asks you to come inside. Once inside, you see Crabs run amok, covering the Fish Shop floor. Before you can do anything to help, Gus enters the Fish Shop and offers to purchase all the crabs, minus a discount for the labor involved. Willy agrees, and Gus gathers the crabs. Afterward, Gus turns to you and says he’s going to run a special on Crab Cakes for the next few days (but not to tell Willy). The cutscene ends with Willy saying goodbye to his “sweet ladies” as they are taken away to be killed and cooked.Gus will sell an unlimited amount of Crab Cakes at the Saloon for 550g each starting on the day of the cutscene and for 3 days after.

Vincent & Jas 8 Hearts event
After reaching 8 hearts with both Vincent and Jas,
Enter Cindersap Forest during Spring on a sunny day between 6am and 5pm.
Vincent will explain how to clean Spring Onions by removing insects. Afterward, the player gains Spring Onion Mastery, which permanently increases the sell price of Spring Onions by 5x

Night Market

The Night Market is a festival that occurs between the 15th and 17th of Winter. Various boats and merchants will appear at the docks on The Beach, and offer to sell goods or take the player for a boat ride. The Night Market is open between 5pm and 2am, but the Submarine Ride closes at 11pm, and the Mermaid Boat closes at 12:30am

You will get letter in Winter 14th to invite you go to ‘Night market’ at the beach in next day.

Attractions

Coffee Merchant
The Coffee Merchant will give the player a free cup of coffee. It is possible to repeatedly obtain coffee every 10 in-game minutes. Exploiting this generosity allows the player to gain 162 cups of coffee, worth 24,300g, over the three days of the Night Market.

Decoration Boat
The blue boat between the docks sells a variety of purely aesthetic decorations, some of which change with the seasons. Players can purchase an unlimited number of each decoration. Decorations can be placed indoors or outdoors.
The Decoration Boat is the only place where the candy cane decorations can be purchased. Seasonal Decor and the Seasonal Plants can be purchased at other festivals/shops.

Famous Painter Lupini
Famous Painter Lupini sells a different painting each day of the Night Market for 1,200g. The paintings rotate over a 3-year schedule, for a total of 9 paintings.

Fishing Submarine
The Submarine houses a Captain who offers to take the player on a deep-sea fishing tour for Gold.png1,000g. Upon accepting, the submarine will begin descending, opening a trapdoor at the bottom to allow the player to fish. The descent and ascent take approximately 30 minutes in-game time. In singleplayer mode, the player can avoid this time expenditure by opening the inventory or the journal; the submarine floor will close/open and the descent/ascent will happen despite the halting of time passage.

Three fish can only be caught here: the Midnight Squid, Spook Fish, and Blobfish. Seaweed, Sea Cucumber, Octopus, and Super Cucumber can also be caught in the submarine ride. There is also a rare chance to catch a Pearl while fishing here.

Magic Shop Boat
The magic shop boat is located to the right of Famous Painter Lupini. It sells decorative items, seeds, a unique hat, and a unique fireplace, with different stock each night. Each item may be purchased in unlimited quantities. Seed sell prices are the same as at Pierre’s General Store.

Note that Garlic Seeds, Red Cabbage Seeds, and Artichoke Seeds are not available until game year 2. Note also that the price of the Cone Hat changes over the 3 days of the Night Market, with the lowest price occurring on Day 2. The Grave Stone sold on Day 1 costs 150g less at the Night Market than it does at the Spirit’s Eve Festival. The Log Section sold on Day 3 costs 150g less at the Night Market than it does at the Carpenter’s Shop.

Mermaid Boat
The Mermaid Boat is open from 5pm to 12:30am. Upon entering, a mermaid will appear and begin singing to the player, accompanied by a cutscene. Her performance lasts 1 hour and 40 mins, but the player may leave at any time. The player may also open inventory at any time, which will halt the passage of time in a singleplayer game.

After the show, clam shells inside the boat can be clicked to play musical notes. Playing the correct notes in the correct sequence will award the player a special item.

Shrouded Figure
The Shrouded Figure offers to teleport the player back to their farm for 250g.

Traveling Cart
The Traveling Cart makes an appearance at the docks with her cart on a raft. She sells a selection of her usual items, including the Wedding Ring recipe.

After you have a Magnifying Glass already, This allows you to collect Secret Notes

How to Get the Magnifying Glass?

The Magnifying Glass is given to you by “Shadow Guy” during the Winter season. The first time you leave your farm heading east into town, you will see Shadow Guy run away. Follow Shadow Guy’s footprints (they lead to the bush beside the playground) and interact with the bush they lead to. This will trigger a short cutscene with Shadow Man where he will give you the Magnifying Glass

Where to Get Secret Notes?

As the game mentions, Secret Notes reveal rare and useful information when read. These notes can be gathered in a plethora of ways including:

Killing monsters.
Digging up worms.
Mining rocks.
Cutting down weeds.

In total there are 25 Secret Notes to collect. Not all notes lead to anything. Some notes are simply stating what items to give characters, while other notes set you on scavenger hunts of sorts.
