Besiege Guide

When you can't upload your machine in workshop by "Error:limit exceeded" for Besiege

When you can’t upload your machine in workshop by “Error:limit exceeded”

Overview

This guide was translated into a translator. so it may sound strange.————————————————————————————————————————————————————–First of all, I’ve already experienced this phenomenon and as a person who solved it, I’m not sure, but I’ll write it down. There are two typical examples of this phenomenon: the first is a photographic image and the second is a steam cloud.I’m going to cover photography, but this guide will focus more on the Steam Cloud.(The problem was more complicated than I thought, so it took me a long time to find a solution.)

photo problem

1.How to solve photo problem

The photo problem’s solution is easy.
I will introduce in turn a simple solution to the photo problem.
1)Check image is not over 1MB
2)Check image’s size is 512X512
3)Make sure the image is in PNG format.
4)Make sure the photo path is in Thumbnails.
5)Make sure the name of the image matches the name of the machine completely.
6)If you’ve run all the examples above and the picture file doesn’t change (e.g., cover up) go to a photo editor like Paint 3D and change
the whole picture to the one you want. (This is a slightly different case, but I put it in just in case)

That’s the solution all i know photo problem

steam cloud problem

2.How to solve steam cloud problem
I don’t fully understand how this happens, but I’ve discovered that sometimes it’s associated with steam clouds.
(I don’t know if it’s caused by bugs, but sometimes it’s not related to SteamCloud, but you can ignore it.)

To explain it, there is a limit to the number of machines that can be stored in a steam cloud, but you can store up to almost 40 pages of
machines in the cloud.
So if you want to store the rest of those machines in the cloud, you have to give up storing other machines in the cloud.
(I also realized for the first time that there was a limit to storing cloud machines)
So let me introduce a solution to solve the phenomena.

1)Turn off useless machine’s cloud save and save new machines you want to store in the cloud. (You have to save it as a new one to
save it to the cloud.)
2)Turn on ENABLE CLOUD SAVING if you not enable. (ingame option)

3)Turn on Synchronize Steam Cloud in steam if you not enable.
4)Delete the workshopupload file. (workshopupload file is in Besiege_Data file)
5)Check to see if the steam client is up to date. (you can do it in steam)
6)If you can’t do all the examples above, give me an example of 7 to 8. (I don’t know if 7 or 8 will work out well.)
7)Restart game
8)Put the steam in offline mode and put it online.

This is how you look.
