Overview
This Guide contains Codes & Secrets for Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny.
1. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Cheat Codes
Pressing I+L+M all at the same time, will give you both keys, and will give you 100% health.
It will also take your score to zero. This cheat will work in both the shareware,
the registered version & also works with Spear of Destiny.
2. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Debug Mode
The debug mode is activated with a different command line parameter depending on what version of the game you have. Debug Mode also Works with Spear of Destiny.
v1.0 = -next (Once in the game, press [Ctrl] [Tab] [enter] to activate)
v1.1+ = -goobers (Once in the game, press [Lshift] [Alt] [Backspace] to activate)
Spear of Destiny = -debugmode (Once in the game, press [Lshift] [Alt] [Backspace] to activate)
Once activated, these are the keys you can use.
Tab+Q = Quit
Tab+W = Warp to level xx
Tab+E = Exit to next level
Tab+T = Debug info in memory
Tab+I = Free items
Tab+O = Map of level (only works in beta versions of Wolf3D)
Tab+S = Slow motion
Tab+F = Position info
Tab+G = God mode (no damage)
Tab+H = Hurt yourself
Tab+X = Extra stuff (???)
Tab+C = Statistics
Tab+V = Add extra VBLs (Vertical Blanking Signal,
this will do nothing for most users except maybe increase or decrease the game speed.)
Tab+B = Change border color
Tab+M = Memory map
Tab+N = No clipping (walk through walls)
(This works only in Wolf3D v1.0 shareware.
This mode can cause really bad things to happen to the game,
including corrupting itself, which is why it was taken out.)
3. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Music Test
Hold “M” at the memory screen that appears while the game loads.
Music menu options will appear after the game finishes loading.
It only brings up a few songs at a time; if you keep on doing this,
it will randomly pick a separate list of songs for you to pick from.
Also works with Spear of Destiny.
4. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Restore Sound
Hold the keys B, A, and T at once. It should give you a message about Commander Keen,
but if you cannot hear any sound (most of the time because of a sound card)
then the sound will be reset and you will be able to hear sound again.
This works with Spear of Destiny as well.
5. Wolfenstein 3D – Episode 1 Secret Floor
In first floor in room where floor 2 elevator is turn right and search the wall to find hidden room. Search walls until you find elevator to floor 10.
YEAH!
6. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Direct Launch
The “NOWAIT” command line parameter will start the game directly from the main menu.
Also works with Spear of Destiny.
7. Spear of Destiny – Skip Copy Protection
If you don’t have the booklet that has the information required to answer the questions when you first load up the game, you don’t have to look up the answers online.
Instead, all you have to do is type “joshua” as your answer.
No matter what the question is, if you type joshua,
it gives you a nice little message and let’s you right into the game.
8. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Tech Support Codes
HIDDENCARD = Disable checking for video card.
NOJOYS = Disable checking for joysticks.
NOMOUSE = Disable checking for mouse.
NOMAIN = Disable checking for main memory.
NOEMS = Disable checking for EMS memory.
NOXMS = Disable checking for XMS memory.
NOAL = Disable checking for Adlib.
NOSB = Disable checking for Sound Blaster.
NOPRO = Disable checking for Sound Blaster Pro.
NOSS = Disable checking for Sound Source.
SST = Disable checking for Tandy Sound Source.
SS1 = Disable checking for Sound Source on LPT1.
SS2 = Disable checking for Sound Source on LPT2.
SS3 = Disable checking for Sound Source on LPT3.
NO386 = Disable checking for 386.
Also works with Spear of Destiny.
9. Spear of Destiny – Other Codes
God mode is accessible in Spear without the use of the -debugmode command line parameter. Simply hold [Tab] [G] [F10] down together to toggle it.
10. Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny – Items
Weapons & Ammo:
1. Knife = Your Close Combat Weapon
2. Pistol = Your standard sidearm
3. Machine Gun = An Efficient Weapon that’s good for attacking Multiple Enemies.
4. Chaingun = This Weapon can wipe out most enemies on each floor! You’ll need this when fighting the Bosses of Each Episode.
Ammo Clip = 4/8 Ammo
Ammo Box = 25 Ammo
Treasure:
Crosses = 100pts. Each
Chalices = 500pts. Each
Chests = 1,000pts. Each
Crowns = 5,000pts. Each
Keys:
Gold Key
Silver Key
Heal Items:
Food = 10HP each
First Aid = 25HP each
1Up = Full Heath, 25 Ammo + Extra Life
