1. Cheat Codes

LZ = Warp. When you type this, the screen will freeze. Enter the level number you want to go to. You will not be able to see the number when you are typing it.

PS = Gives you slime.

2. Word Rescue Plus – Custom Installation

This Section will teach you on how to install Word Rescue Plus in your Word Rescue Folder.

1. Visit Redwood Games to Purchase Word Rescue Plus.

(NOTE: This Game is REALLY HARD to Find)

2. Go to the folder where Word Rescue is installed on Steam, and create a new folder called WRP.

3. Unzip and place into the WRP Folder where Word Rescue is located.

4. Change the Following in your WORD DosBox Config File:

5. Open Word Rescue and select Option 4. which will lead to your C Command Prompt.

6. Enter CD WRP, then WRPLUS to start playing Word Rescue Plus.

7. If you want to switch back to Word Rescue, change the Following in your WORD DosBox Config File:

3. About Word Rescue Plus

The Gruzzles are lazy creatures that don’t know how to read. That would have been half the trouble if they didn’t decide that if they can’t read, no one else should be able to. They stole all the letters from all the books, and the world was left without words. Benny the Bookworm, the keeper of books, sends a valiant little adventurer to bring the words back, and restore the world to its normal self.

Word Rescue is an educational side-scrolling action game that attempts to teach children to recognize written words. The player’s goal is to have the protagonist bump into question marks to reveal written words. Once a word has been revealed, the hero must find a picture that corresponds to it. Matching a word with a wrong picture summons a Gruzzle, who must be dispatched of.
