Overview
Here a list with small description of possibly useful launch commands.
Setting launch options
In Steam game library right-click on X Rebirth and select properties. In the window that pops up select the General tab and then click the set launch options… button. Enter the commands in the smaller window. You can add multiple commands by just leaving a space between them.

Sets difficulty to hard

Defaults game to prioritise the use of extracted files (for modders)

Disables ingame music

Disables effects sounds, like engines, guns, etc
-soundsystem 5.1
Sets sound system (also works with 7.1, surround, quad, stereo and mono)
-windowed
Sets window mode
-borderless
Sets borderless window mode
-confinemouse
Enables confining mouse to window
-width:XXXX
Sets window size with in windowed mode
-height:YYYY
Sets window size height in windowed mode
-antialiasing:n
Disables Antialiasing
-noshadows
Disables shadows
-nossao
Disables SSAO
-noglow
Disables Glow
-skipintro
Skips intro movie
-clearstats
Clears Statistics
-clearstatsandachievements
