Author’s Comments

I made this, 5 years ago, on MS Paint (god only knows why I thought that was a good idea?!), and it has been on GameFAQs ever since, and has since recieved over 20,000 hits. With Steam’s guide feature coming out, I thought it’d be a kind of handy place to put a map, directly accessible from the overlay. So, I have actually included and updated a 5 year old map, for a 9 year old game. This is probably a final version, as it’s a nightmare to update it on paint, and there’s not a lot of room left in some of those boxes to get any more information in, but if you do have any suggestions, feel free to leave them on my steam profile, and I will see what I can do to fit it in.

If you want an even bigger version, you can find one on GameFAQs, which preserves the size a little better, here[www.gamefaqs.com]. It prints out quite nicely on both A3 and A4, if paper copies are your thing. I am happy if you want to distribute it, a design credit would be nice if you are going to, but not the end of the world if not.

Have fun, I always thought X2 was the best X game, and only half of that reason was because the Argon M2 looked like a gigantic flying penis.

Epideme.

***Update: Now Updated to v1.5.0, includes the locations of nebulae and their types, pirate bases, goner temple and laser tower factory, and have neatened up the map in places and upped the contrast on the icons to make them easier to see. Who says you can’t update guides for 10 year old games?***
