Overview
This guide will show you how to execute a donut manouver in a Datsun 720 King Cab truck.
Selecting a Drift car
First, you need a car that is capable of drifting. Anything with a RWD option and drift tires works, but I prefer to use a Datsun 720 King Cab with the drift pack or the Ibishu 200BX with the drift pack. Try to pick a car you’re good at driving, like a truck, sedan, or a SUV.
Starting the manouver
To start a donut, line up your car in a wide area that allows you to accelerate, execute the donut, and exit the manouver. I used the map, “Grooved Test Range, Nevada”. It has plenty of space on the runway and in the dirt.
To actually start your donut, floor the car and turn sharply to the right or left, as shown in the pictures.
Executing the donut successfully
Just keep the car floored and keep your steering all the way to one side. Let the car do the rest of the work. Maybe even take some pictures!
Exit the donut successfully
To exit a donut correctly, turn your wheel in the opposite direction. When your car has exited the “groove”, straighten your wheel and let the car come to a stop. Your exit skidmarks should look somewhat like a snail.
