Top 10 gods to pick for Fafnir’s Wonderland

Overview

The following guide dedicated to players who aren’t quite familiar with Fafnir’s wonderland and seek to achieve better results. In this guide, I’m gonna place my top 10 favorite Gods that I think are perfect for this PVE and explain why. My best score on hard mode is 31, so I have somewhat knowledge and wisdom to spread across the Smite community. Speaking of Smite community, you can find me on Smite forums here: http://forums.smitegame.com/member.php?91704-lextragonIf you’re interested in discussing various smite related topics with me, leave a PM.If you’re a fan of Arena, please check out my previous guides of top gods most suitable for arena. With that said, sit back, grab a cup of tea and have a nice read šŸ™‚

10. Vamana

Vamana is the best warrior pick for Fafnir’s wonderland mode. There’s no point denying it. His ultimate is a perfect counter to bosses like Odin, Fenrir and many more. By rapid regeneration and damage absorbtion, Vamana gives your allies plenty of time to inflict damage to the enemy. Despite all the benefits, Vamana lacks range with only having one long ranged ability. However, he still deserves to be in top 10.

9. Cupid

Cupid is more useful on doing damage to Gods and AI rather than structures, however his first ability can attack structures as well. The hearts have no use considering the amount of damage enemy deals. His sprint can’t escape Odin’s walls, but you would be able to juke Raijin’s ultimate. Cupid has a great ultimate to slow and cc the enemy. Of course, it doesn’t work on all enemies, but it helps your team have the upper hand.

8. Anhur

I’ve havent seen that many Anhur picks and I wonder why. His kit has a little bit of everything and all of his abilities are useful to an extent. Anhur’s pillar can be used to slow or block Fenrir. The impale doesn’t work on everyone, but it can be of some use against Hel, Chiron, Bacchus, Nu Wa and Ah Puch round. Leap is useful for escaping Odin’s cage or pouncing at someone to temporary knock him up. Anhur’s ultimate should be helpful in Raijin, Skadi, Anhur or any other round that requires use of range. However, he has no sustain or temporary immunity, which makes him squishy and more vulnerable.

7. Hou Yi

Hou Yi is more of a team player than Anhur. The Ricochet ability does require skill to land, but also deals a good chunch of damage. The mark should help him track Snowman Geb. The dash is shorter but longer than Anhur’s, allowing Hou Yi to temporary escape the incoming waves of damage (especially in the 5v5 round). Hou Yi’s ultimate is helpful to destory the little chickens. Still, some attack speed items wouldn’t hurt to take due to his lack of AS.

6. Medusa

Medusa is similar to Cupid. Her other abilities may not be that helpful, but her ultimate sure is. You just need to know how to time it and when to use it. Her 1 can inflict extra damage which is good, nothing special. Medusa’s burst and dash are for extra mobility and poke. Without the ultimate she wouldn’t be so high up this list. And that’s all there is to it.

5. Terra

That’s right, you heard me. I put a guardian in this list and she will be the only one added. Terra is a lifesaver due to her ultimate. She’s better to use with skilled allies who can utilize your support to play more aggresively and inflict extra damage faster. At the 5v5 round it’s best to activate your ultimate right away or after sanctuary wears off. Trust me guys, she’s more useful to your team than previously mentioned gods.

4. Izanami

And back to hunters, Izanami is pretty good at dealing high damage quick due to her high attack speed. The stealth is a risky escape, but a good movement ability. Ultimate can be used for that extra damage, allthough her bread and butter is Sickle Storm. Pop it when the enemy isn’t very mobile to make every shot count.

3. Artemis

Artemis is probably the biggest damage dealer within the least amount of time in comparison with other hunters. She is excellent at quickly chopping off the enemy health bar and phoenixes. However Artemis doesn’t have any form of mobility so she would have to buy sanctuary and some healing against 5v5, Odin or any similar rounds. I would suggest taking Terra along, to keep her sustained.

2. Skadi

Or should I say Kaldr. Skadi herself isn’t that great, but her wolf gives an extra member to your team, allowing the upper hand. Kaldr is great at tracking Snowman Geb, rushing Anhur,Skadi as well as bodyblocking most of the enemies. With Kaldr on her side, she’s a little bit safer than Artemis, but sanctuary wouldn’t hurt to take.

1. Rama

Rama is probably the best pick for this mode cause all of his abilities are perfect for every round. Press 1, 2 and 3- boom, your basic attacks are now faster, deal more damage, slow and cripple enemies. The slow and cripple doesn’t work on everyone, but then you can use the dash defensively. And those are just his first 3 abilities. Now let’s talk about the amazing ultimate that keeps you away from combat, making you not take damage for up to 5 SECONDS ! His ultimate also helps finding Geb snowman or kill Raijins who teleported to the other side.

Thanatos

Thanatos is good at dealing damage at close range and executing low hp enemies. You no longer have to worry about not dealing the final blow in time. However, I don’t believe that Thanatos is a must have pick and 4 adcs with Terra can do even better.
