My recommendations for each class for SMITE

My recommendations for each class

Overview

My recommendations for each class on Smite. For experienced, new, or just curious players that want recommendations for each class.

Introduction

Everyone should know that class balance is very important. Every class brings something different to the table that can help win the game. It’s good to have a god in each class that you like.

Imagine that when right before a match when everyone is choosing a god that you were making a sandwhich and now everyone has choosen a god besides you and your favorite class has been taken. The only one left is a tank/support. (Assumsing your favorite is not tank) You could go ahead and choose your favorite but that would leave your team without a tank/support that can stun enemy gods, intiaiate a fight, deny kills, and help allies get kills.

To prevent this scenario you need to have a god in each class that you can like can play well.
You may have a class that you don’t have a god that you can play well and do not know where to start looking for a god.

So, I give my favorite gods in each class that i hope you will like and hopefully be able to play the role with the gods that I have recommened you.

Assassin: Bastet

Bastet in my opinion is a very easy to use assassin. Her 1 can be used as a leap and used again in a set amount of time to leap back. Good for hit and runs as well as to start a fight without being in any real harm. Watch out for gods with stuns or when your 1 is down as you can be stuck down easily without a good get away (You could grab some beads or a magi’s blessing to absorb a stun in the case that you get stunned. That way you can use her 1 without interference if a gank goes bad.). Her passive also makes any enemies that are stuck by your abiltites to start bleeding. Bleeding causes a Damage over time effect which is good when a god has managed to run away from you on low health dying anyway.

Her 2 is a cone which is good for damaging groups of minions and her 3 is a ranged which can help against runners and make them bleed. her ultimate sends 3 cats to start attacking. The cats focus on bleeding enemys so make sure to make the target bleed or otherwise they will scatter doing very little damage. Her ultimate can be used to secure a kill or even perhaps distract enemies chasing you after your 1 went down.

Warrior: Bellona

She is a good overall fighter. Her passive changes her weapon for a few seconds depending on the skill used. Her one is a nice little dash. Could be used for a short run away or for intiating a fight. Also slows enemies. (changes her wepon into a sword and shield. Possibly raises defense?) Her 2 is a AOE around her as she spins in a circle damaging enemies. (Changes her weapon into a large hammer. Possibly raise attack?) Her 3 is a nice ranged and can “disarm” enemies making them unable to make basic attacks for a few seconds. (Changes her weapons into a mace/whip? Increases range.) Her ultimate can stun and damage enemies and buff allies.

Hunter: Neith

She has good damage, can heal herself, can clear minions well, and has a very good ultimate.

Her one is a basic stairght-forward shot which pretty much all hunters have. Her 2 can heal her if an enemy or minion gets caught in it. Her 3 is a very good get-away and leaves behind a “broken weave”. It has a different effect for each ability used on it.

Her one causes it to blow up. (You could create a combo where you rush into an enemy use your 3 and blow it up with your 1. Could also be done to clear a wave of minions) Her 2 just considers it a target to heal her with. Also multiple broken weaves can be places and multiple weaves can be effected by one skill use.

Her ultimate in my opinion is my favorite ultimate in the game. It can snipe anyone, anywhere, anytime.( As long as they are visible and another enemy doesn’t get in the way.) It heavily damages the targeted enemy and even stuns them. Good when you get a runner. (Does not effect broken weaves.)

Mage: Hel

She is a vertstaile healer and attacker. She trades in a ultimate for a skill to “switch stances”. Her stance affectes the nature of the skill. In dark stance the ability does damages/debuffs enemies. In light stance the ability heals/buffs allies. In my opinion she is fairly easy to use. Since she is a mix of offensive and supportive it will allow you to play both roles well when the time comes. She will also help you with choosing other mages depending on which side of Hel you perferred. As most mages focus on being either offensive or supportive. (Angi and Kukulkan are very offensive while Ahprodite is more supportive.)

Her one is a straight-forward shot. Her light stance version causes any damage done with it to heal her. In dark stance it blows up on impact good for clearing minions and dealing damage.

Her two is a simple ground target spell A.O.E. that stays there for a few seconds. In light stance it removes stuns on allies and prevents future stuns for a short time. In dark stance it slows enemies and lowers magical protection.

Her three is a A.O.E. around her. In light stance it heals allies. In dark stance it damages enemies. This skill does a lot of damage or heals for a lot.

One good idea if an enemy is right behind you trying to kill you it would be a good idea to constantly change stances spamming three. Not only will it heall you but it will damage the enemy for a good chunk. It will slow you down a bit thought due to constantly casting spells but it CAN make the chaser give up or even kill them. (Even better if allies are nearby) However if you were low on health before it would it be better to cast her 2 on yourself to prevent stuns, heal yourself and just run away to your nearest ally or to a safe area.

Guardian: Ymir

He is a tanky god with a good stun and a very damaging ultimate that is tricky to use. His passive applys a debuff to enemies that are struck by one of his damaging abilities to have a 100% increase in damage from ymirs basic attack

His one places a large wall down. Can be used to prevent enemies from escaping you or save an ally by placing the wall right behind them if an ememy is chasing them.

His two is a ranged. It slows enemies and applies his passive onto the enemy.

His three is a cone that stuns enemies and damages them. Applies frost bite.

His ultimate causes him to root himself into the ground and apply a large A.O.E that slows enemies and after a few seconds blow up to cause massive damage. How ever most enemies will be wise enough to use a get away, walk out of it, or attack you possibly killing you. If you combine all of your skills it could help your ultimate land. Try to target gods without a good get-away or can be left defenseless after using it. (Some mages have no escape what so ever but some do. Most assassins and hunters seem to have an escape/leap but could be left vunerable afterward. Warriors/tanks with a few exceptions do not have an excape/leap either.)

Watch out for enemies with beads.

Conclusion

I hope i have helped some people that couldn’t find a god for a role they were lacking in.
Also don’t be shy, give your opinions on my recommendations or other gods you would like to recommend to other people. This is also my very first guide so please tell me if I have done well.
