Overview
Hey folks. I recently swapped my radeon for a gtx, and got an annoying microstutter. My fps was stable 60, but a little stutter appeared in every 5-10 seconds, most noticeable in the background. After some research, i saw that a couple of players have this issue too, mostly with nvidia gpu. I tried every solution, but nothing worked. But finally i found an own method to fix this problem.
Road to victory
1. Open Nvidia Control Panel
2. Select “Manage 3d settings”
3. Select “Programs” tab. Do not change global settings, ’cause a few games will not love you.
4. Select Spintires.exe
5. Set “Maximum pre-rendered frames to “1” (Application selected is the default). Don’t forget to apply your changes.
6. Boom, stutter gone.
Tested on two nvidia cards(own&friend)
