Getting Started With Lunch Truck Tycoon

Overview

This guide is meant to help the new players with getting started with Lunch Truck Tycoon.[This guide is not finished and will keep on getting updated]

Introduction

Hello and welcome to Lunch Truck Tycoon, a game where You sell food to pedestrians walking down the streets of Lunch Island, directly from a lunch truck looking like an old pedovan.
Read through to get to know the basics of the game and find some helpful tips.
This guide has a few sections: The Beginning, Playing Around and Expanding your business

The Beginning

Start of the game: You start the game with a free old “Used Lunch Truck” and with a financial reserve of 500$. You got some food ready to sell.

The Beginning: Adjusting The Price Tags

Alright so before you start selling food to weirld walking pedestrians around the island, you need to adjust the prices to profitable ammounts people will like. (as seen in My Pricing Guide.) Your common sense tells you not to sell stuff too cheap or at the same ammount of money you pay for it because that leads to Bankruptcy. You need to adjust the price tags so you have some profit from it.

This is what the price tags look like:
1. (Ammount of money you pay for 6 units of the food) = 2. (money earned by selling 1 unit of the food)
Here’s an example of it
(1) $6.00 for 6 = (2) 2.25 Each

Here are all the prices:

$2.00 for 6 = $1.25 Each
$3.00 for 6 = $1.50 Each
$4.00 for 6 = $1.75 Each
$6.00 for 6 = $2.25 Each
$8.00 for 6 = $2.75 Each
$9.00 for 6 = $3.25 Each
$10.00 for 6 = $4.00 Each
$12.00 for 6 = $5.00 Each

Happy Moneymaking! 😀

The Beginning: Stocking

It’s recommended to restock your goods after every turn. After you’ve unlocked more goods to sell, people will buy more stuff. Having even one thing out of stock is a nono. At the higher levels I recommend you to get the Efficient Storage System upgrades. I personally restock everything I got less than 5 or 6 units of.

Playing around

In this section we’ll talk about the stuff that comes after the beginning such as Upgrades, Events, Trucks, etc.

Playing around: The Phone

The Phone is a useful thing to check on. It tells you what day is it and it announces the upcoming events.

There’s also something special about the monday and the weekend days
People go to city to work each Monday
People go to Ski Resort or The Beach during the Weekend

Playing Around: Days and Events

DAYS – By checking your phone you get to know what day it is. Travel around the island anywhere you want during the week unless there’s an upcoming event somewhere. Also there’s more people on the Beach and in the Ski Resort during the weekend.

EVENTS – There are random events throughout the week such as Bustin Jieber concert in the city etc. I recommend going to the location of the event unless you’re participating in a competition.

Playing Around: The Lunch Trucks

You can get a new Lunch Truck when you get enough money to unlock it, each has some pros and some cons. There are currently 6 trucks in the game:

Playing Around: Upgrades [in progress]

So, here’s something little about the Upgrades (listed as ‘Improvements’ in the game)

Check the cost p/turn of some stuff because if your profit is too low you can lose money easily.

Expanding Your Business

In this section, you can see some tips on expanding your business such as Cook-Off methods, and Selling Locations.

Expanding Your Business: Competitions

So as you might already know, there are 2 kinds of competitions in LTT – The Cook Off and The Mixing Competition

The Cook Off and Mixing Competition Strategy:

The first thing to know is that all the values are randomly set so there are no “results” on the internet.
“Yea, yea, stop talking and give me the strategy, dummy.” Alright, here it is:
You want to start off with each of the 3 ingredients on 8.
If the customers tell you you need less of that ingredient – substract 4.
If they tell you you need more of it – add 4.
If there’s still a need for more or less – add or substract 2.
The “Almost There” sentence means you need to add or substract (depends if they said more or less before that) 1.
If they tell you it’s superb or exemplary, gj, you got it right.

Expanding Your Business: Item Sell Locations

When you got some Selling events, you need to get to some places the specific item sells the most.
For example: a Popsicle can be sold the most on the Beach
