Overview
A walkthrough for the A-Escape Demo. This walkthrough will go step-by-step on how to finish Episode Zero: Julia. Spoilers ahead; don’t read unless you’re absolutely stuck!
Tutorial Section
This section will let you test the locks. Follow the instructions and enter the door when you’re ready.
Enter the door by hovering your controller over the door, and then squeezing the trigger.
Finding the number lock combination
You’ll need to find the combination to the closet door. Find the first half of the combination by picking up the half of the drawing on the shelf.
You’ll probably need more light to see. Turn on the light by interacting with the light switch next to the door.
The second half of the code is locked inside the desk drawer. The key is sitting under the potted plant.
After unlocking the desk drawer, align the two halves of the code to get the full code to the number lock.
Unlock the closet door by inputting the combination 3 8 5 1. Hold the trigger and touch the track pad at the same time to move the cylinders.
Finding the Window Lock Combination
After unlocking the closet door, you’ll find a crowbar inside the closet to the left.
Smack the crate with the crowbar to break it open, revealing a clue to the window lock.
Find a screwdriver underneath the bed.
Use this screwdriver on the vent screws to unlock it and pull out the clue inside.
Shining the blacklight found inside the desk drawer will reveal numbers on the note pad. Place the note from the vent on top of the notepad and shine the blacklight on it. This will give you the sequence to use on the window lock.
Place the note on the back of the photo found inside the crate to reveal which symbols coincide with the sequence found on the note pad.
The sequence is:
House, Child, Moon, Crow, Moon, Child, Crow
Escaping the room
The sequence of symbols correspond with the direction that each drawing is placed relative to your position when standing at the lock.
Up:
Left:
Down:
Right:
Therefore:
House, Child, Moon, Crow, Moon, Child, Crow
Converts to:
Right, Down, Up, Left, Up, Down, Left
Input this combination into the window lock and press down on the track pad to escape.
