For recruits: requirements
- You haven’t reached Service record level 3 yet (meaning before PvP battles are accessible).
- Or you took a break from the game and haven’t played for 90 days.
- You need to be in the same game region(server) as the person who invites you (Asia / EU / CIS(Ru) / NA).
- It doesn’t matter if you play on Steam or via native client, the referral program is equally accessible to both.
For recruits: instruction
- Launch the game. Pick region carefully if that’s your first launch, choose nickname, enter the Port.
- Open Steam overlay then open the dedicated thread from this guide or by finding it at the top of General discussions.
- Click an invitation link. All those links are NOT one-use, so choose any that’s from your region. Or ask your friend for one.
- Choose “Login”
- Choose “Log in with your social profile: Steam”
- Sign into Steam website (if you’re using a regular browser — you may need to enter login and password first)
- …
- PROFIT!
Don’t forget to also add that person to Contacts in the game for playing in divisions later, it’s more fun and may improve your results (you can also use in-game voice chat in divisions).
For that click the red button in the lower left corner and click the button on the bottom of Contacts tab, type the player’s nickname and then choose “Add to contacts”.
Send him a message, even if he’s not online — he’ll receive it next time he launches the game.
And why not friend him on Steam as well?
For recruits: rewards
- For playing one battle(try 1 PvP battle if it does not appear) — USSR premium cruiser Diana[wiki.wargaming.net] of tier II: a lot of fast-reloading guns with mortar-like ballistics.
- For reaching tech tree ship of tier VI(6) and playing on it once in PvP battles —
- USN premium battleship Texas of tier V: good armor & guns and awesome AA defense for that level
- 3 000 000 credits
- 80 000 Free XP
- 25 regular signals of each type
- Both ships include a port slot and Commander with 3 skill points.
For veterans: instruction
It doesn’t matter what you or recruits use to play — Steam or the native client, the referral program is equally accessible to both.
Choose your region(server), login and copy the link from that page:
- The dedicated forum thread
- Your Steam profile (in Summary or Custom Info Box showcase)
- Your social media accounts: Twitter, Facebook, VK, Google+, Twitch
- Your instant messengers (for example in current status or info): Discord, Twitch, Telegram
- Comments to this guide.
- Comments to the news post
- Directly to your friends who might be interested in joining you using whatever means (homing pigeons anyone?[en.wikipedia.org]).
- Add it to your review, since newcomers would likely look there before noticing this thread. Also it’s visible to your Steam friends in Activity Feed.
Show them this guide or that thread so they don’t get confused: for Steam it’s a bit tricky, they MUST NOT create the account through the website using that link if the plan to play on Steam.
When you visit that link later — you can see the nicknames of players who had used your link.
Add them to Contacts in the game for playing in divisions later, it’s more fun and may improve your results (you can also use in-game voice chat in divisions).
For that click the red button in the lower left corner and click the button on the bottom of Contacts tab, type the player’s nickname and then choose “Add to contacts”.
Send them a message, even if they’re not online — they should receive it next time they launch the game.
For veterans: rewards
(up to 3 times)
- 3 000 000 credits
- 25 regular signals of each type
- 25 Damage Control Party II consumable
- 25 Camouflage Type 5 (standard battle bonuses)
- 1 Port slot
- Veteran’s commemorative flag(only once)
If you have already received the rewards three times — you won’t receive more, so don’t be greedy, give others a chance: it would be polite to remove your link from the thread and other places where it might get used.
