Primary rules you should know in order to survival:1. Find iron in countryside (with grass and road in little map), with iron you can craft a pan. Cook meat with the pan can heal you effectively. Bunny is the safest way to gain meat, but they’ll run into holes when they hear shots. So you’d better wait till they far from holes enough. And remember the initial pistol is not that accuracy, you may miss the target if it’s too far from you.2. Use 3D printer to craft riot gear, you need resin (or plastic) and wood, it’ll reduce 45% damage, you’d better have one before attack some dangerous enemy.3. Make weapon you may need iron and tinder, at beginning you can find them in countryside. You can defuse a missile to gain tinder, but it may get exploded. Remember the revolver and rifle are more powerful than initial pistol.4. Some terrain is more dangerous than others, prairie and forest are safer generally. Better not too far away from home at beginning. There may be dangerous in night, you need better lighting to discover danger earlier. You’d better craft a lamp or make a campfire at home.5. Encounter danger you can run away to other scenes, creeps may follow you, but wouldn’t be too far generally. Remember attack from creeps will interrupt you use menu to escape.

It’s a roguelike (sandbox) survival game, with hundreds of scenes waiting for your exploring. Aliens overthrow earthmen’s ruling by manipulating our plantings. Now as an earthman you have to overcome hunger, cold and mental problems, and what’s more, protect yourself from creeps and even dangerous plants, you have to fight or run away. You have to make different weapons to defeat various enemies, make different clothes to suit your fight style. However fight against the world is not the best way to survival, you’d better be a farmer or a worker to growing up plantings and building things. Such as, if you want to explore in a cold place, you’d better prepare some warm clothing; and if you want to stay in a place with dangerous plantings, you’d better create weedicide to wipe them out at first.
First of all, don’t get starved, find some food by hunting or collecting. And you’d better to make or upgrade your cooker, so you can cook varies foods which have more nutrition. And you should keep in good sanity, or it’ll be dangerous if your sanity is too low. Eating varies foods will recover some sanity, but if you eat the same stuff for a long time it’ll make you feel very bad. There’re a lot of things that affect your sanity, go can explore them.
Clothing are very important, they can protect you from cold and hurt. Some of them make you less likely to be found by enemies, and some of them even make you easy to find out the weak points of enemies. And of course you can travel fast with a good pair of shoes. And remember that you not only need enough material, but also need to find a sewing machine, which tend to appear in abandoned suburbs.
Weapon is the thing makes you feel strong. It’s not a good idea to bother some enemy if you don’t get an appropriate weapon. You may need tinder to create weapon. You can find some in the abandoned military vehicles. And you can also go to the dead zone in the evening to see what is found, be careful, though there’s no ghost.
Best to keep good lighting at night, otherwise you may not know what is coming to you. At home, you can have a fire with wood. If go out you’d better bring a lamp with you. There’re two kinds of lamps, one of them need oil, and one of them need electricity. Oil and electricity are important, you can use them to create meals, and create other things. For example, the 3D printer may need iron powder to print something, so you have to find a machine to grind your iron into powder, of course you need oil to start that machine. The use of electricity is relatively troublesome than oil. First you need to find or create some batteries, and then think of ways to charge them. There’re many ways to charge batteries, h’m, why not go and find out whether there’re some lovely alien jellyfishes wait for you at night in the forest.
You can use petri dish to plant a variety of plants which can provide food or other material. If you have shovel you can equip it first, and then bring some plants home. So you can gain resources more effectively. However that also means you have to find more fertilizer to feed them. If fertilizer is not enough, you can find a bathtub to generate some after rain.
Some animals usually very gentle, but if they were infected by plantings in some season, they could be very dangerous. However apes are always our good friends, especially in the end of the world, they’ll thank you very much for cleaning their huts. Some animals may not that friendly, especially if they found you’re stealing their eggs or foods, you’re in danger.
You’d better not go out in bad weather, at least you’ll find out you spend more time on traveling. But now it seems very clear, there are many things waiting for you to explore outside. Now collect everything seems valuable to you cleverly, even if it’s just an empty can.
