Conclusion

As you can already tell, all guns are different and they react to all situations differently. It all comes down to these few things:

Do you want to spend on DLC?
Do you prefer close range or long range?
Do you want to spam your sniper rifle?
Do you prefer going loud or silent?
Do you have steady hands?

(Subject to change!)
Note: In Authentic and Authentic Plus difficulties, only max zoom(???) for Sniper Rifles are locked. Other stats remain upgraded(???) if you have them.

Additional note: All Bolt & Lever Action sniper rifles have the same damage output when upgraded.
It is also the same case for Semi-Automatic sniper rifles, but less damage.
