An optimal attack build

Introduction

This game was just released on PC and I'm sure many people pick vocations they'll enjoy. However your stats level up automatically and some vocations have odd stat gains. Magick archer has higher m.def than magick gains. Strider is well-rounded but doesn't need magick. Fighter and warrior have low m.def gains. With this build I hope to allocate stats properly while accepting some flaws.

Leveling

You'll need 4 vocations to do this:

1-10 Fighter
10-27 Warrior
27-100 Assassin
101-200 Ranger

Augments

Augments are limited to 6 at a time and carry over to other vocations. I suggest picking these before changing vocations:

Fighter

Vehemence (rank 8)
  • Increases your strength by 10%
Sinew (rank 5, optional)
  • Increases the weight you can carry by 20kg, good on midgets
Prescience (rank 7, optional)
  • Gives more frames for perfect blocking

Warrior Clout (rank 9)
  • Increases your strength by 20%
Bastion (rank 1, optional)
  • Increases physical defense by flat 50, great early on
Ferocity (rank 3, Optional)
  • Increases your core skills' dmg by 10%, good on some vocations like warrior

Assassin Autonomy (rank 9, optional)
  • This increases your strength and magick by 20% if all pawns are down or you play solo. In order to play solo just throw your pawns into the deep water so brine can kill them.

Sorcerer Awareness (rank 1, optional)
  • This increases magic defense by 50 if you really need it. You can temporarily switch to sorcerer to buy this augment but make sure you don't level up since you don't need the stat gains from this vocation.

Secret Vocation Predation (no rank)
  • When you land a killing blow, you are healed.
Adhesion (no rank, optional)
  • For climbers, this augment is a must.

Final words

If you want more hp, stay as a warrior longer. If you need more magick defense, try to compensate it with items.
