Basic Equipment enhance
Introduction
Let's start saying that every item that you can power up has got three stars (usually black).
You can use material + currency (gold) to power up. You can choose between three option
first star
second star
third star
When you choose an option you will automatically get the bonuses from the previus one, but you don't use the items required. So if you don't have enough material to get the second star but you have the materials for the third star (and enough money) you can get all the three stars using only the materials required for the third one. If you want you can pay for the first one, then the second one and finally the third, but at the end you will get a 3 star item and you will lose more materials.
Remember, the first star never cost material but only gold, and having one star upgrade is better than nothing; however the second and the third upgrade grant more benefits and can also reduce the item weight.
Talk to the black cat!
Dragonforge
The dragonforge is the ultimate power-up, in order to achive this you must kill a dragon-like creature and you can get a dragonforge with a chance depending on the stars on the items only on the arisen equipment.
You can even power up a dragon forged weapon more in the bitter black island (Dark Arisn DLC) using rare material found on this isle. You can do it only talking to Barroch and the item must be already dragonforged.
There are only other two levels beyond the dragonforge the silver one and the gold one. These two levels doesn't cost any gold but rift crystal instead.
Conclusion
If you have already finished the game but you didn't kill the Ur-dragon you can do it in the new game (before the post dragon season) by teleporting with the riftstone on the beach of Cassardis. The first time try the Ur-dragon offline.
In order to get the pawn equip dragon forged you must switch the equipment from the pawn to the arisen before the last hit on the dragon-like creature. If the pawn isn't the same class of the arisen many item's shouldn't be equippable.
Other items in the Arisen's inventory cannot be dragonforged at the time a Dragon-like creature die, only the items that the Arisen has equipped on can.
