Overview
Hello! Today ill be listing some strategies for ARK: SOTF! Keep in mind ive used all these and have won matchs with them in the current update. I will update this if i see fit or notice any spelling mistakes. I also want to say most if not all of these were done on a x15 server, but if you look at the videos you will see they were done on offical servers, therefore all of these strategies can and have been done on offical and unoffical servers. And all these are for solo players if your in 2v2 or 4v4 you can change these for your own needs. Pt 2 – http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=925150508————————————— —Strat 1— Gun stratThis is probably the most common strategy that you can get wins with. Basically you make guns and win. Youll need to be semi decent with guns to get the W but if your not you can still win i got my first few wins with this strat and i had no clue on how to use guns effectivly. Depending on the server you wont be able to make all the guns unless your very good at this strat since i assume anyone reading this is somewhat new to the game i will write the strats so anyone can do them. KILL THE PLAYERS NOT THE TAMES!!!!!!! Advantages – Very easy for new playersGood against smaller tames CAN be good against bigger tames (Depends on the tames, the level, the HP, etc) Disadvantages – Very well knownOther players can do itCan be countered with beefy tamesHard to win without a few tames The actual strat – 1. Find a good metal spot on the main island2. Make basic tools3. Kill some animals for hide4. Gather 10 metal5. Make a foundation and place it6. Make 2 furnaces and place them on the edge of the foundaiton7. Make a mortar and pestle and make as much sparkpowder as possible (About 400-500 should be good) 8. Smelt the 10 metal 9. Make the smithy10. Use the smithy to make a pic11. Get as much metal as possible12. Smelt metal(Optional). Get about 15 crystal to make scopes13. Make chitin armour.14. Make a pistol15. Make a scope16. Make 50 pistol bullets17. If possible make a shotgun this will allow you to kill beefy tanks and players up close18. Make 20 shotgun shells if you made a shotgun19. IF possible kill someone and take their tames. This will allow you some backup while you stay back and snipe20. Stay back and let everyone fight21. Pick off the weak people and win!Dont get mad if you dont win your first time this isent a guarnteed win strat its a strong strat but it does have some downfalls. This could be trikes, stegos, apes, dodos, parasaurs, Anything that eats berries. You will need alot of tranqs for this. If you tame a carnivore your a betrayer and your not welcome to use this strat ever again (Jokes but for real it ruins the fun). You can do this with carnivores but its much more risky and i wouldent reccomend it for new players. Advantages – Alot of damage at onceAlot of tankienessCan body block for youAlot more safer then taming carnivores Disadvantages – Gernades can wreck this stratA high damage spino or rex can kill low level herbivores The actual strat – 1. Make basic tools(You could also run to center for this strat)2. Get as many tranq arrows as possible 3. Tame 1 trike or stego4. Use said trike or stego to gather narco berries so you can make more tranqs5. Make more tranqs6. Tame litterally every herbivore you see7. If you can kill someone doing gun strat so you can take their guns and armour.8. Level up your herbivores by killing players since they give alot of xp if you cant find players kill carnivores9. Be the last one to goto center and dont drag attention10. Like with the gun strat pick off the weak person and defend yourself when needed. Your basically those really cool kids in the hunger games who befriend peta just to find katniss. Yea your them in this strat. This can be fun if your good with a bow. Keep in mind youll want to use a bow at all times it will do more damage then spears although i would carry around some spears just incase. Advantages Really funYou get free water from all the tears from the opponentsFree tamesFree Guns Disadvantages Tames will wreck youYou probably wont win if you dont steal some tames Tears may be salty The actual strat – 1. Make basic tools a few bows and some spears2. Get hide armour3. Kill everyone you see4. Dont kill people who see you be a ♥♥♥♥♥ and sneak up behind them and kill them5. Take their tames6.
