Data Hacker: Initation Items List
How Loot Works
Most equipment and consumable item rewards in Data Hacker: Initiation are randomized. All chests that yield consumable items pull from the same pool, as do all chests that yield ribbons. Weapons and armours are broken into four "grades", while titles are broken into three. This means that you can save before opening a chest (or doing certain other things that grant randomized loot, like completing certain quests or hacking certain NPCs) and reload the game if you don't like the items that you received.
Weapons with chances of inflicting a status on hit, or which strike with an elemental type other than physical damage generally only do so on basic attacks, though there may be a few skills that carry over the weapon's element and status effects.
For armors that grant elemental resistances, the percentage afterwards is what the damage is reduced to. So, resist fire (80%) means you take 80% of normal damage from fire. Likewise with status resistances, the percentage chance is the chance that an attack which inflicts that effect will actually inflict that condition. So, resist venom (70%) means that, if you're hit by an enemy attack which inflicts venom 50% of the time, you'll only suffer venom 35% of the time.

Katanas
No, if you don't have a Samurai in your party, there's no way to tell most of the Honed Katanas of Ailment apart except by hitttng things until the status effect goes off. The one that inflicts Death sells for 1028, though, while the other four sell for 991.
