GTA III - Multiplayer

This guide allows you to play with the mod GTA:3 directly on Steam with all the functionnality (Take a screenshot, chat with your friends, share your screen, count the hours played...)

I present to you only two which are functional :

• GTAConnected (project new, need more player)
  
• Liberty Unleashed (project stopped but most used)
  
• MTA 0.5 (project stopped, dead)

I advise you to follow the GTAConnected part to encourage the new team to improve the project and make it better than Liberty Unleashed.

• Liberty Unleashed
  
• GTA Connected
  
• gta3.exe [folder Game] (downgrade to 1.1 version)
  
• gta3_old [folder Game] (Steam version)
  
• gta3.exe (launcher)
  
• particles.txd (rip from CD, fix dark color car)

2) Open the folder of game "...\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto 3"

3) Create folder "game" and move all folders/files to "game"


4) Open the zip downloaded and extract to "...\SteamApps\common\Grand Theft Auto 3"


5) Open the game from Steam Library or Shortcut

6) Click on 2th picture then go in toolbar "Tools" -> Settings -> Change the nickname & Save then close the software (not launcher)

7) Click on 3th picture then go in toolbar "Tools" -> Launcher Settings -> Change the nickname & Save

8) Go to in toolbar "Tools" -> Game Settings and put the path of gta3.exe 1.1 version (if you don't found, put to All Files) & Save

9) Choose both of mod MP, open a server in the list show

10) The Steam pop-up appears on your game, you have succesfully followed my tutorial

11) For spawn, press CTRL or Alt Gr

If you want to return to normal play, just close the game multiplayer and software MP without exiting the launcher then click in the first picture.

General
- Identical key F12 on the screenshot does freezing a little while, you have to change the key in the STEAM parameter or the game (recommended)

- If you using the script/mod, please rename your folder "scripts" to "scripts_off" before playing the MP because they block the run the executable file
Only GTAConnected include the support widescreen fix, sorry for people using the LU

Liberty Unleashed
- Cannot find 640x480 video mode (for the first time opening game)
=> Run first the game and change your settings before play the multiplayer
