Introduction

Hello everyone, I don't know much English and I use a translator, but I want to tell you how to improve your weapons or armor as effectively as possible by enchanting at Goren.

У руководства есть русская версия

It is located to the right of the Twilight center. Goren is a grumpy magician who can enchant your items, thereby adding additional characteristics to them, the chance of triggering something, and so on

The interface is simple - you put your clothes in the cell, click "Enchant" and get an improved item

There are three good and tolerable outcomes:
  • The item will receive new magical properties
  • The item will receive an additional cell for ember
  • Nothing will happen and you will only lose money

But there is also a small chance that all the spells, that is, all the magical properties will disappear and only the standard damage and elemental damage of the weapon will remain, along with the properties of ember, if it was also with armor. With each time of enchantment, the chance of magic properties disappearing increases by 2%, incredibly small, but even at 2% you can lose all sense in the newly found orange clothes, because without its charms it does not represent such power and at the same time it smells of disappointment. Also, each time the enchantment increases the price for enchantment, so at its 45 level, the price increased from 2.3k to 10.5k with an increase in the chance of losing enchantments to 24%

I could not cope with the possibility of completely losing the power of my weapon and found a method to preserve and prevent bad outcomes, more on this later

Safe enchantment

To begin with, I will say that it makes no sense to enchant things to blue, they quickly become obsolete, especially at small levels. It is worth enchanting things with purple and orange inscriptions, since even with an increase in the level due to their original magical properties, they can continue to kill the enemy, as well as continue to protect you properly. Also, rare weapons have additional elemental damage. This does not apply to staffs, but there are already some nuances there

Attention! If you often have a slippery blow when attacking ordinary enemies, then you should definitely change your weapon, since it will be more expensive to improve such weapons further than to enchant a newer, stronger one

Here you have found your first legendary thing that fits your character and decide to improve it further by enchantment. I hope you have stocked up on gold. Next, I offer you this method to lose the minimum in this case:
  • First, come to the city and go to the main menu, then exit the game in order to save your progress, then log back into the game

  • Start to enchant your thing, enchant three times at a time (you will understand the meaning later)

  • If there are two positive outcomes: extra magic properties and / or a cell, then save by going to the main menu and out of the game, then go back again

  • If you get nothing twice for three enchantments and even lose your charms, then press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and call the task manager, then close the "Torchlight" process

The next time you start the game, a window will pop up

No need to panic, just close it and that's it, then the game starts automatically

  • Continue on from the second step until you run out of gold
I immediately notice that I do not know how this will work and whether it will work on Mac OS

In this way, you will always have the opportunity to roll back the bad outcomes of the event, as if nothing falls out twice - a waste of money and a complete loss of charms. The case requires only your perseverance and perseverance, and a little luck. It will take more than 5 re-entries to get a well-cooked thing, but it all depends on your initial stock of gold

In my example

Here is my thing, which I charmed as best I could

It is legendary (unique), has a higher level that is close to mine and has more armor than the previous thing I wore, so I decided to improve it, since it will not soon become obsolete

It would be logical to improve the weapon, because damage is everything, but I have improved the gun before and nothing will save this arquebus, because its attack speed is low

With the enchantment, the gloves acquired many magical properties that improved the existing ones and received new ones, a new socket for ember was also added. As I mentioned earlier, these gloves require over 10 thousand gold to enchant further and also have a 24% chance of losing enchantments, and this is already a big chance of losing everything

P.S With such machinations, you will get two achievements, it also depends on how much gold, because there will be enough for 10 enchantments in a row of one item

You will get the first achievement with five consecutive enchantments of one object and the second, with ten

Also, with enchantments, you can get other achievements:

Only the lucky ones will get, you need to get a disenchant, that is, lose the spell on the first enchantment of the object, that is, you should not be lucky and in 2% of the chances, you will be lucky and you will get an achievement

Get 20 disappointments, it is difficult only in terms of that you will lose a lot of gold. Whether the achievement has a cumulative effect in order to use the method from above and gain disenchants, I do not know

P.S.S Emergency completion of the game through the task manager can also be used in normal situations when more is at stake than the death of the boss in the storyline, and for example, death without portals back in the dungeons after killing Ordrak. Going through 8 dungeon levels again is not an hour of play, because a simple rush depletes your potions, which are not infinite. Do not repeat my mistakes, put the portal on each level and put it again when you return)
