How to figure out what executions you are missing for the "Always On Top" achievement

To unlock this achievement, you'll need to perform an execution with the following weapons:

• Baseball Bat
  
• Baton
  
• Brick
  
• Crowbar

• Drill
  
• Fireaxe
  
• Frying Pan
  
• Glass Bottle
  
• Golf Club
  
• Hammer
  
• Katana
  
• Knife
  
• Lead Pipe
  
• Machete
  
• Pool Cue
  
• Broken Pool Cue
  
• Pot
  
• Pot (Empty)
  
• Scissors
  
• Sledgehammer

The Hotline Miami save file location depends on whether you have the original or updated version. For the updated version, the save file is typically at C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami\SaveData.sav. For the original version, it is usually in the game's installation folder as saves.dat.

Your folder should look something like this:

That SaveData.sav is the file we are looking for.

And the insides of that file will look something like this:
Note: The numbers will be different depending on what achievements you have already completed or your score on the different levels.

The first 5 lines are what really matters to us. More specifically, the fifth one.
Each of these lines represents an achievement; the fifth one is the "Always On Top" achievement.


First line = Masks worn for "Sounds Of Animals Fighting"
Second line = Guns used for "Guns For Show"
Third line = Weapons used for "Knife For Pros"
Fourth line = Weapons thrown for "Pitcher achievement"
Fifth line = Weapons used when performing ground kills for the "Always On Top achievement"

Note: DO NOT TRY CHANGING THESE NUMBERS! Not only will this not register the achievement on Steam, but it might also corrupt your file.
We ain't here to touch the files, we are just looking!

As said, the fifth line represents the "Always On Top" achievement.
Each 1 equals a weapon that you have already used to execute, and each 0 a weapon that you haven't used yet.

After taking a look at your Save Data file and seeing where your 0s are located, take a look at this list that I made so ya'll can figure out which one/ones you are missing:

* Im still not sure about this two but I know for a fact one of them corresponds to Scissors and the other to Dart. I'll update this guide as soon as I figure it out. Feel free to let me know if you know it.

Note 1: Another reminder that changing the Save file will ♥♥♥♥ up your game for nothing, cause it doesn't even count to Steam.
Note 2: There's a lot of guides and tutorials out there that will tell you that the Briefcase on "The Metro" is necessary for this achievement. But I really don't think it is. As you have seen, the list I gave at the beginning of the guide has 21 items, and there are 21 bits in the 5th line of the save file.
Im not 100% sure of this, tho, so I could be wrong.
Note 3: I'll keep checking the flags to see which bit is for Scissors and which one is for Dart. If anyone knows, I would appreciate it if you let me know.
