Overview

UPDATE: Fix added to the "The Reaper's Cudgel" bug.

Don't let the guide's size discourage you - it's much easier than it seems!
In my current playthrough, I successfully installed all the missing content, and everything functions as intended.

Should you encounter any difficulties or if you have any questions during the process, feel free to reach out and get in touch with me!

Additionally, I've included my Recommended Mod Compilation Guide below for those interested.

Campaign: A Tale of Orzammar

"A Tale of Orzammar is a downloadable content that serves as a prologue to the Dwarf Noble Origin. It explores the actions of a dwarven nobleman who has contracted a mercenary to retrieve a valuable artifact from a ruined thaig within the Deep Roads." (from https://dragonage.fandom.com/ )

How to obtain the missing campaign
  • Download this file[rapidshare.io].
  • Install it with DAUpdater, ModManager, or DAModder.

Installation (with DAUpdater)
  • Locate the application: right-click the game on Steam, select "Properties", go to the "Installed files" tab, click "Browse," and open the DAUpdater app ("...\Dragon Age\bin_ship").
  • Select (or drag the file) and install it.

Promotional items

How to obtain the missing promo items
  • Download all the files below.
  • Install them with DAUpdater (instructions above).
  • All the remaining items will appear immediately in your inventory, except for Final Reason and Berghen's Honor. These 2 items can be purchased from Bodahn Feddic at the Party Camp.

Unique rewards items

During the course of playing or completing some DLC (The Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, The Golems of Amgarrak, and Witch Hunt), you may receive unique rewards. These items will be transferred to your Origins and Awakening campaigns, but first you must start a new game.

Unless you have played these DLCs before the "Origins campaign" (main game), which I wouldn't recommend (except for, maybe, "Leliana's Song"), you won't get much use out of any of the items. For this reason, I decided to add these items to my guide as well, so you can enjoy them during your 1st playthrough of the game.

How to obtain these promotional items (workaround)
  • Download all the files below.
  • Install them with DAUpdater (instructions above).
  • Download this mod: "Make CONSOLE commands visible[www.nexusmods.com]".
  • After extracting the file (mod), open it, copy the "Fonts.erf" file, and paste it here:
    ".../Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Packages/Core/Data/"
  • Download this mod: "AddItem with Console Improved - Script[www.nexusmods.com]".
  • After extracting the file (mod), copy and paste that folder here:
    ".../Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Packages/Core/Override/"
  • Enable the console (instructions below).
  • Launch the game, load your latest save file, and use the console to add those items.

(You need to right-click the links and choose "save link as")

Enabling the console
  • Follow the instructions here[dragonage.fandom.com] (make sure it's the Ultimate Edtion - Steam).

Adding the items with the console (codes below)
  • Load your latest save file.
  • Open the console (press the key "\") and type: "runscript additem <item code> [count]"
E.g.: Adding the item Blightblood to the inventory:
    runscript additem prc_im_wep_mel_lsw_drk_dao 1

Note: Do not add items meant for Awakening while playing Origins and vice versa (you can still install all files, though).

Item codes (Unique rewards workaround)

Codes

Note (bug): "The Reaper's Cudgel doesn't retain its unique, spiky look in Origins and instead has the appearance of a regular mace. It sometimes has rune slots, depending on when the character was made in Origins." (from https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/ )

Original Blood Dragon Armor (v1.0)

The Blood Dragon Armor[dragonage.fandom.com] has been updated to version 1.1 in early December 2009 for PC users.

This armor can be obtained in the Ultimate Edition, but I figured some people might prefer its older version (1.0).

v1.0 set stats
v1.1 set stats

+6 defense
+3 willpower
+40 health

How to get the BDA v1.0
The original parts, which have different bonuses from those in version 1.1, can be spawned using the console. The remaining pieces of armor can be bought from Bodahn.
  • Blood Dragon Plate (v1.0.): "prm000im_dragon_blood_plate"
  • Blood Dragon Plate Helmet (v1.0): "prm000im_dragon_blood_helm"
