how to tank

light tanks

Light tanks like the M2A4 Stuart, M24 Chaffee, T26, Hunter AFV, etc are tanks that are built for Strike and Run tactics, rather than Strike and Sit tactics, but they are also useful for recon, scouting, escorts, and lots of other crap

Light tanks typically have crappy armour and low calibre guns (other than the M18 GMC and some other LTs) and arent meant for fighting the enemy head on (which is stupid in hindsight for literally any other tank, like come on dude) so you may be asking "but bro, light tanks are so bad, why do you need a whole guide for them?" to answer your question, Light Tanks in history were made for scouting and sometimes fighting Tank Destroyers (since TDs were meant for HTs and MTs(sometimes even SHDs) and had thin armour so mobility is increased, LTs have poor survivability (due to having thin armour) and some LTs can even die from .50 guns

so, how do you Light Tank correctly?

  1. be a coward and when you need to run, run, no one gives a single care if you start running (except for the enemy)
  2. long range sniping is not a good idea, since your guns are absolute dogwater
  3. go for Tank Destroyers, since they have thin armour
  4. surprise attack tanks from the rear or the sides
  5. just dont play LTs at all and uninstall

this is stupid

medium tanks

Medium tanks are tanks that are meant for fighting other Mediums and sometimes even Tank destroyers, im going off on the M4A2 Sherman for this part since its my best Medium (some parts are on the M2 Medium)

Medium tanks are tanks that have adequate armour, and adequate speed, as well as big guns.
Mediums are designed to fight other mediums and sometimes tank destroyers, these tanks are built for Strike and Stay methods, but you can also do Strike and Hide methods as well

i hate myself for making this

lets cut right to the chase

  1. always find an enemy that has absolutely no idea where you are and then kill them
  2. front armour will always be your friend, since its the thickest armour on your tank
  3. surprise attacks will always lead to death, so check your six often
  4. tank destroyers will kill you if you arent paying attention
  5. your best shells are either APHE or APCBC, regular AP does shrapnel damage but it doesnt have explosive filler

this is so stupid

heavy tanks and super heavy tanks

Heavy tanks and super heavy tanks are tanks that are designed to fight the enemy headon, they have the best armour, and they have adequate guns, but have stupidly slow mobility, they are designed for Strike and Hide and Strike and Strike Again maneuvers.

this is short and this is so stupid

  1. front armour is the best armour you can have, use it
  2. APCBC, APHE, or even APCR bullets will be the best bullets you have
  3. side strikes are always deadly, so check your six
  4. sniping from far away is acceptable since you have poor mobility
  5. dont be stupid

this is so stupid

tank destroyers (SPGs)

tank destroyers are tanks that have thin armour, and the biggest guns, as well as good mobility
tank destroyers are Shoot First and Die Last tanks, which makes them scary if they see you first, and you dont see them at all, since they have the highest calibre guns, they will always have a firepower advantage

i hate this so much

  1. reaction time and reflexes are key for success
  2. you always have to shoot first
  3. surprise attack tanks that dont know you're there
  4. always hide and snipe from long distances
  5. APCBC or APHE are good shells for you to use

this is so stupid

tactics

these tank tactics wont guarantee you a kill, infact, they might get you killed in a game, but im making this because im fine with making the reader lose a game

Strike and Run methods are methods that are meant for tanks with good mobility, it usually starts with an LT encountering a TD, the LT doesnt shoot first and the TD does, the TD misses since you are moving and it is too, you loop around it and shoot it at the rear, possibly ammoracking it or immobilizing it, if its immobilized, then you shoot it again and it dies

Strike and Sit methods are methods that are for tanks with poor moblity, but with good guns, its basically just finding a rock and camping there until you get bombed, there's nothing special about that

Shoot First and Die Last methods are methods that are for tanks with the biggest guns, mainly SPGs and maybe super heavy tanks, its basically a 1v1 in who has the best reflexes, if the enemy shoots first, you die, if you shoot first, the enemy dies in a massive firey explosion

im done im not doing this anymore
